JACK the Ripper was an infamous serial killer who sparked public imagination — and mass hysteria — like no other murderer before or since. Five women — Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly — are widely held to have been victims of the Ripper, although later murders were attributed to him. Over a year on from the shocking blaze which shook Britain we take a look at the building's tragic history... When was Grenfell Tower built? Grenfell Tower was built in 1974 by Kensington and Chelsea Borough Council. In 2017 it underwent a multi-million pound redevelopment.
