Sam and Billie Faiers’ biological dad – violence, wedding snub and why he’s not on Mummy Diaries

· February 24, 2021 ·

Sam and Billie Faiers were brought up by their mum after their biological dad stopped seeing them when they were young. The former The Only Way is Essex stars have endured a strained relationship with their father, Lee Faiers, over the years. While step dad Dave Chatwood, who is no longer with their mum, is featured heavily on their ITVBe reality series The Mummy Diaries, Lee is nowhere to be seen. It was actually Dave who proudly walked Billie down the aisle during her Maldives wedding to Greg Shepherd in May 2019. Sam and Billie refer to Dave as their 'dad', having had frosty relations with biological father Lee for many years. "From what I gather, he was a seductive bad boy who made his money as a successful market trader," Sam wrote in her tell-all autobiography titled Secrets and Lies: The Truth Behind the Headlines in 2015. When the girls were young they lived on an 18-acre farm in Upminster, Essex, after Lee's job as a market trader made him a millionaire. Couple say they’ve found 150 FAULTS with ‘mould and burst tank’ in new £265,000 Help to Buy home

· February 27, 2021 ·

A COUPLE say they have found 150 faults with their new £265,000 Help to Buy home. Amy Fenn, 24, and fiancé George Watts-Sturrock, 32, claim to have had endless issues with their "nightmare" new-build - including damp, mould, uneven walls and even a burst water tank and two floods. The pair bought the detached three-bed property in Norfolk in 2018. It was advertised as being part of "a superb collection of stunning homes" by Suffolk builder Hopkins & Moore. It should have been their dream home, but they say it has been "a nightmare". It started with mould in the first week, and then the pair noticed damp, uneven walls and that the stairs were unfinished. They say there was also a wonky sink, wobbly doors, damaged worktops, dodgy tiling and the drains were blocked with rubble. And then to top if off, the couple experienced two floods - one while they lay in bed. Amy told The Mirror : "We heard a huge bang and gushing water and found the tank in our boiler … [Read more...] about Couple say they’ve found 150 FAULTS with ‘mould and burst tank’ in new £265,000 Help to Buy home

Young couple say they’ve found 150 faults in brand-new £265,000 Help to Buy home

· February 27, 2021 ·

A couple say their Help to Buy dream became a nightmare as they claim to have found 150 problems in their new-build home in two years. Amy Fenn, 24, and fiancé George Watts-Sturrock, 32, bought the £265,000 starter home under the flagship Government scheme. But their joy turned to misery with a seemingly never-ending list of “snags”. The couple claim there was damp and mould, uneven walls and unfinished stairs. They say a sink was wonky, doors were wobbly, worktops damaged, tiling was iffy and drains were blocked with rubble. Then – through sheer bad luck, not down to poor building – there were two floods. In that second, a water tank exploded as horrified Amy and George lay in bed. Amy said: “We heard a huge bang and gushing water and found the tank in our boiler system had literally exploded. It has just been one thing after another.” George, who works in quality assurance, said: “We were so excited to get our first home but it’s been a nightmare.” The detached … [Read more...] about Young couple say they’ve found 150 faults in brand-new £265,000 Help to Buy home

Crowds flock to parks and beaches during 15C sunshine despite scientist’s Covid warning

· February 27, 2021 ·

Crowds have flocked to beaches and parks in the sunshine today - despite a top scientist warning the fight against coronavirus is not over. Lockdown-weary sun seeking Brits headed to spots like Brighton, Southend-on-Sea and Exeter amid 15C temperatures - with pictures showing significant crowds in places. Professor Jonathan Van-Tam had used last night's No10 press conference to warn lockdown could be extended if people "relax" too much over a sunny weekend. He used a football analogy to hammer home the message that the pandemic is still very much an issue, comparing the situation to relaxing when 3-0 up - and still losing 4-3. Boris Johnson gave the nation a taste of hope this week by unveiling his roadmap - which said pub beer gardens could open as early as April 12 and all restrictions could end as early as June 21. Got a story? Email [email protected] And the number of first vaccine doses dished out in Britain has passed 19million - with experts … [Read more...] about Crowds flock to parks and beaches during 15C sunshine despite scientist’s Covid warning
