Rishi Sunak is expected to confirm a fourth Covid support grant for self-employed workers next week, as he delivers the biggest Budget since the Covid crisis emerged. Amongst stamp duty, the £20 Universal Credit uplift, new minimum wage rates and an update on the future of furlough, the Chancellor is set to deliver news on the next self-employed support grant. But the fourth payment in the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) could prove the last as it may be scrapped by May. The final scheme will be worth up to £7,500 and cover February, March and April, according to The Telegraph . Workers who meet the criteria will be able to claim 80% of their average profits over three months capped at £2,500, and paid as a single lumpsum. But the scheme could either be scrapped or capped at 20% of profits from May when lockdown restrictions are expected to lift and businesses could reopen. TIGER Woods’ family worry he may get hooked on painkillers as he recovers from his horrific car crash. A source said the golf icon , who has been in rehab, has a “deep-seated” issue with prescription drugs — and warned a “potentially huge problem” lies ahead. Boris Johnson has raised hopes of a ‘normal’ summer by announcing plans to lift all Covid restrictions in England by June 21. The Prime Minister set out a four-step easing of restrictions starting with the return of all children to school and social mixing outdoors ( see below ). He predicted that the success of the vaccine roll-out meant: “Today the end really is in sight”. Mr Johnson told MPs: “A wretched year will give way to a Spring and a Summer that will be incomparably better”. He later added that the “crocus of hope is poking through the frost”. But in a dramatic shift in tone, he stressed that his approach must now be “cautious” to avoid a fourth national lockdown.
