Dear Editor,In my professional life of well over a decade I have never seen a Public Service Commission (PSC) Chairman and his Commission act so irrationally and recklessly the way they have been doing in recent months.The Government has in the past spent huge amounts of public funds on very costly litigation that it has miserably lost due to its very poor, bad and politically-motivated decisions.I’m afraid nothing has changed, and we are witnessing today some extremely irrational decisions that will very likely cost the state millions or possibly billions more in terms of legal claims.Already, the former DGs who were refused contractual payments have won their case in court and the Government has paid out large sums of money to them.I hear their story does not end there. Social media site Facebook now let users donate to charity at the click of a button. Mark Zuckerberg's organisation first introduced the feature in the United States 2016, allowing users to raise money for more than 750,000 non-profits through fundraisers and donate buttons in live broadcasts and posts. Then in March 2017, personal fundraiser donation pages were introduced, allowing people to raise money for themselves, a friend or something not on Facebook. It was introduced in the UK in September 2017.
