To celebrate the launch of TV show Lego Masters, which premiered on Australian Channel Nine over the weekend, a team of nine builders sunk over 1,300 hours into the project. Sitting underneath the bricks, which have been glued together, is a steel frame to support the remarkably life-like creation. Not only does it faithfully replicate the Japanese hot hatch’s design, it also boasts functional headlights, daytime running lights, hazards, brake and reverse lights — all of which can be activated via an iPad. Ryan McNaught, Lego Certified Professional and lead of the Civic project, said: “We’ve loved the challenge of this project. The car is shaped with a considerable amount of curved lines, making it a tough but interesting build. From the working … [Read more...] about Honda Civic Type R gets life-size Lego treatment

Over its long history, Honda's CR-V has quietly become the world's best-selling SUV and this latest version doesn't look all that different to its predecessor, but it's still a big improvement. And it's perfect timing for a car like this to maintain its crown at the top of the SUV tree, as the nation seems to want nothing other than a jacked-up mud-plugger as their family workhorse. As diverse as its talents are, most CRVs will inevitably end up on the school run, the office commute or possibly, in rare cases, crossing grassy fields at a point-to-point or towing a caravan to Norfolk. So what's new? There's also a range of technology improvements to make it more clever and more user-friendly and safety has been turned up a few notches. But the big news is the … [Read more...] about Review: Why is the Honda CR-V one of the world’s best-selling SUV’s?
ISTANBUL - Reuters Honda has decided to end car production in Turkey following completion of the production of its current Civic Sedan model in 2021, the company said in a statement on April 8. It said it made the decision due to electrification developments in the industry globally and the need to ensure adequate production capacity. Operations in the automobile area that include vehicle imports and distribution would continue, Honda said, adding that its motorcycle operations will not be impacted by this decision. In a statement it made on Feb. 19, the Japanese carmaker had announced that it would restructure its global manufacturing network. As part of the restructuring, it would close its Swindon vehicle manufacturing plant in the U.K. in 2021, at the end of the current model’s production lifecycle. The statement also added that the global restructure will also involve Honda’s automobile operations in Turkey. “The company will cease manufacturing current Civic … [Read more...] about Honda to end Turkey production after 2021
