H omes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts attempted to avoid a drink driving conviction by claiming his asthma stopped him from giving a breath sample. The 56-year-old, who has failed to get his conviction overturned, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol last year, after failing to provide a breath test. But Roberts insists this is because of his chronic asthma, and said that he tried several times to provide a sample of breath. He denied failing to provide a specimen of breath but in March Bath Magistrates convicted him, fining him £3,461 and banning him from driving for 23 months. Police accused him of sucking rather than blowing and, after only one successful test which showed him to be almost twice over the limit, they charged him with failing to provide a specimen of breath. Roberts maintains the reading could have been contaminated by his asthma inhaler. He appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Friday, where he failed to have the … [Read more...] about Homes under the Hammer presenter claims he was unable to give drink driving test due to asthma

Martin Lewis warning to apply for £5,000 Green Homes Grant vouchers after rumours it could be axed
MARTIN Lewis is urging eligible households to apply for £5,000 Green Homes Grant vouchers amid rumours the scheme could be pulled. The Green Homes Grant initiative gives families money to spend on energy-saving measures around their home, such as insulation or a better boiler. The government says households could save more than £200 annually on energy bills thanks to the scheme. But speaking during his Martin Lewis Money Show on ITV last night, Martin said rumours are spreading that the project could close in March. The government has yet to officially make an announcement on whether these reports are true. The Green Homes Grant scheme has already been plagued with controversy, with funding to be slashed by around £1.5billion from April. What is the Green Homes Grant? Female burglar busted as cops find Cheetos dust on her mouth after she dropped snack packet and broke into home
COPS busted a female burglar when they found Cheetos dust on her mouth after she dropped a snack packet having broken into a home. Sharon Carr was arrested on a first-degree burglary charge after committing the home invasion in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Friday at around 8pm. Cops said they arrived at the home after a mom of two young kids had called 911 to say another woman had pried a screen off her window and gotten inside. The snack-loving burglar had already fled the scene but cops said they found “a bag of Cheetos and a bottle of water on the floor near the open window.” However Carr is said to have emerged from the shadows just a few seconds later, cops told KTUL .
