‘Chemical cosh’ prescriptions for dementia patients surge by 50pc in care homes since pandemic
“Chemical cosh” prescriptions for dementia sufferers have surged by more than 50 per cent in care homes since the pandemic, major research shows. Medics have repeatedly been warned against prescribing antipsychotic drugs to the vulnerable, because they may have dangerous side effects. Josh Dasilva thumps home late equaliser to complete Bees comeback from two down
JOSH DASILVA struck gold to cap an unlikely comeback and earn Brentford a priceless point. Leicester looked to be cruising to a comfortable win after a goal either side of the break from Timothy Castagne and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall gave them a deserved two-goal cushion. But when Ivan Toney struck just beyond the hour to hold off Daniel Amartey and lash the ball beyond Danny Ward to halve the deficit, Leicester wilted. And as Brentford suddenly realised the Foxes were there for the taking, Toney headed wide with the goal at his mercy. Then former Arsenal kid Dasilva stunned the King Power when he surged forward from midfield, and as the Foxes backed off, he curled home a stunning equaliser which left Ward gasping as he grasped at thin air. It wasn't the way Brendan Rodgers wanted to mark a major milestone in his career as he clocked up his 170th match in charge of the Foxes.
