Eric Trump said two people tried to buy him dinner to apologise for how America has treated his family, in an interview with Fox News ' Sean Hannity . Eric spoke to Hannity on his show on Monday night and also said his father, former President Donald Trump , had seen an increase in support following the FBI raid on his Mar-a-Lago home. The search warrant, served on August 8, was part of an ongoing Justice Department investigation into the discovery of classified White House records recovered from the former president's Florida home in January this year. "It has caused the greatest fundraising, my father's poll numbers have absolutely gone through the roof," Eric Trump said. "They are not even talking about any other Republican candidates because they have all kind of disappeared, they are not even in the equation," he said in reference to the possibility of his father standing as the Republican primary candidate in the 2024 presidential election. Party-pooper Sturgeon would ruin Eurovision for everyone
Scotland’s largest city has been shortlisted as a possible host for Eurovision 2023. This is a very big deal. A contest that is much derided among the educated classes as naff, camp and irrelevant, just became important now that Britain is to host it for a record-breaking ninth time. And I wish my adopted city every success. It certainly has the credentials, the experience and the facilities to pull off an unforgettable event. On the other hand, this is Scotland, so Eurovision could be about to become the latest pawn in the interminable debate about Scottish independence . Already the omens are not good: Nicola Sturgeon has tweeted her support for Glasgow. The excuse then was the nationalised industry came low down the priorities for more public spending. The NHS would always trump a new big pipe for water when it came to dishing out the cash. Privatising freed the businesses to raise capital from shareholders and bond investors to increase capacity, modernise pipes and to innovate. Then the regulator came along with ever more complex regulations, … [Read more...] about Only real privatisation will save the water industry

Simon Clarke argued it is “absolutely right” for the new leader to consider “these options in the round” when they take the reins, suggesting they should steer clear of announcing “new uncosted policies” during the election period. It comes after frontrunner Liz Truss – who has Mr Clarke’s backing – hit out at “bizarre” proposals to agree help for rising energy bills with the Government and her rival Rishi Sunak before the contest is over.
