Hero at the fall release date

A leaked document listing Activision ’s upcoming releases looks to have revealed Call Of Duty : Warzone 2’s launch date. It’s been about six months since Activision announced it was making a sequel to Call Of Duty: Warzone and, apart from confirming it’s due out this year, we still know next to nothing about it. Activision will finally be talking about the game during a Call Of Duty livestream next month. However, it looks as if one detail – the game’s release date – has leaked ahead of its formal announcement. A document listing upcoming Activision releases seems to have been shared online via a screenshot. Aside from giving away the sequel’s actual name (which is simply Call Of Duty: Warzone 2), it says it will launch on November 16. That’s almost three weeks after Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is listed under its internal codename of Call Of Duty: Cortez and launches on October 28. Dangerous prisoners will be blocked from automatic release by ministers under new powers to protect the public. Ministers have taken unprecedented powers to force criminals to serve jail terms beyond their normal release date if they are judged to pose a “significant risk of serious harm” to the public. The rule change will allow ministers to override judges’ “fixed term sentences”, which set automatic release dates at halfway or two-thirds through offenders’ jail terms. They will instead be able to refer them to the parole board to require them to serve out their full prison sentences before they are released into the community. It had originally been thought that the power would only apply to criminals who were radicalised in jail and therefore became a terrorist threat if freed. Musicians and comedians from across the globe with join for one night only in London to pay tribute to former Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in a concert at the city’s Wembley Stadium. The musician died in March at the age of 50 in his hotel room while touring with the band In Bogota, Colombia. Hawkins had been part of Foo Fighters, fronted by former Nirvana drummer-turned-lead singer Dave Grohl , for more than two decades. He had also worked with the likes of Sass Jordan, Alanis Morissette , and supergroup NHC with Jane’s Addiction members Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney. Looking forward to the concert? Gremlins and Black Adam have been confirmed for MultiVersus but new leaks reveal the witch from The Wizard of Oz is also on her way. Just like fellow free-to-play game Fortnite , there’s now a constant stream of rumours for crossover fighter Multiversus – and almost all of them have so far proven to be accurate. Just the other day Black Adam and Stripe , the lead monster from Gremlins, was rumoured and now they’ve both been officially confirmed. We’re already onto the next rumour though, which claims that Beetlejuice and the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz are also coming to the game. Personally, I think Kratos is doomed. I hated him in the PlayStation 2 games but his rejuvenation in the reboot is some of the best writing I’ve ever seen in a video game, especially as his changing attitude took place in front of you, as you played, and yet it seemed very subtle and organic. The biggest game of the year blasts its way onto shop shelves, but is it coasting on past successes or could this be the best Call Of Duty yet? This is the year that Call Of Duty’s rivals hoped its crown would slip. After some well-publicised sackings , and then walkouts, from developer Infinity Ward it seemed as if cracks were finally starting to show. But if there were any they’ve been plastered over with consummate skill and this is, for better and for worst, exactly what you’d expect from a sequel to Modern Warfare 2. We do feel some sympathy for Infinity Ward, and co-developers Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. Activision and Call Of Duty are under fire again for plagiarism, this time seemingly copying a skin design from the Dr Disrespect game. Earlier this month, Activision was accused of plagiarising someone else’s artwork and adding it as a skin to Call Of Duty: Vanguard and Call Of Duty: Warzone. That situation was soon resolved, but now the company is facing the exact same accusations for another skin. This time, however, it hasn’t copied the work of a random artist but a design from Deadrop , the debut game of Dr Disrespect’s Midnight Society studio. More specifically, the new Doomsayer skin looks like a near one-to-one copy of a skin that is not only set to appear in Deadrop but is also used by studio co-founder Robert Bowling as his profile picture on Twitter.
