A Scarborough woman is raising awareness of organ donation following the devastating news that her granddaughter’s only chance of survival is a heart transplant. Four-year-old Thalia-Beau Wright was diagnosed with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy, a condition which affects one in a million people. Her grandmother Christine Johnson said: “OnNovember 16 our world changed forever when we were given the devastating news that our beautiful Thalia has Restrictive Cardiomyopathy.“Just a few days earlier we had been in Scarborough Hospital as Thalia was suffering from a chest infection, she’s been prone to these after having bronchiolitis and pneumonia as a baby and we were always terrified of her getting a poorly chest again.“We were just about to be discharged when suddenly it was all systems go as it was noticed on a chest x-ray that Thalia’s heart was enlarged. The moisture in skin folds where air can't circulate facilitates the infection. Nappy rash is a form of intertrigo. This rash is thought to occur in up to one third of babies and occurs most commonly in those between nine and 12 months of age. Intertrigo of the groin is more common in those who are obese, have urinary or faecal incontinence, or in cases of poor hygiene. All forms of intertrigo are more common in those who are obese, diabetic or who are exposed to humid conditions. Moist, damaged skin acts as a breeding ground for all kinds of microorganisms. If you receive an email that appears to be from Netflix this week, make sure you’re wary of it. A new Netflix scam email is circulating, that tries to trick users into giving away their personal details. The email was first detected by MailGuard after it was sent to several Netflix customers across Australia. It reads: “We’ve temporarily suspended your account due to some issues in the automatic verification process.” It also includes a link to ‘Update your details’. If users click on this, it leads to a Netflix branded phishing page, which isa copy of the actual Netflix sign in page.
