A one-minute silence will be staged ahead of Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix in tribute to the victims of the London Bridge terror attack. Eight people were killed and dozens more injured in the atrocity which took place last Saturday night. Canadian Christine Archibald, who hailed from British Colombia, was the first victim to be named after the attack and the promoters of this weekend's Montreal race called on Formula One to hold a minute's silence in her honour. The tribute, which will take place ahead of the seventh round of the championship, comes just a fortnight after a similar one was staged before the Monaco Grand Prix following the Manchester Arena bombing in which 22 people were murdered. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle threw themselves into their royal duties Wednesday, attending a special performance of the hit musical Hamilton in London, with the prince briefly treading the boards himself. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined Hamilton creator Lin Manuel-Miranda at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London for a charity performance of the Alexander Hamilton biographical. After the show, Harry took to the stage to address the audience and cast members, the BBC reported. One of the characters in the show is British King George III. While speaking to the audience after the show, Harry began to sing one of George III's songs—"You'll Be Back"—in which the monarch warns colonial rebels they will regret their uprising and "remember you belong to me." Despite having vowed to stop discussing the royal family, Meghan Markle's father likened his daughter's in-laws to a cult during an interview with The Sun newspaper. Meghan Markle is heading to the U.S. alone to visit her friends and family for the first time since her wedding
Meghan Markle will visit the United States to see her friends and family without Prince Harry. Us Weekly reported that Markle's trip would take place before the couple undertook a royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, planned for October. This would coincide with the Invictus Games, the Paralympic-style competition for military veterans which was founded by the prince and is due to be held in Sydney from October 20 through October 27. The couple are said to be keen to go the United States together next year, so that Meghan can introduce Harry to "everything she loves about the U.S," and as a way to highlight and strengthen ties between the countries.
