Paul Pogba is considering pulling out of Manchester United ’s squad for their final game against Crystal Palace as he is concerned he will get a negative reception from the away fans at Selhurst Park. ESPN say Pogba has ‘reservations’ about playing in United’s last game of the season on Sunday over fears he will be targeted by visiting supporters. Pogba has been booed by fans in more than one match this season , especially towards the end of the season when it has become increasingly apparent that he will leave Old Trafford this summer. The French World Cup winner, who returned to United six years ago in a deal costing a then world record £89m, suffered an injury in last month’s defeat to Liverpool that appeared to end his campaign . THEO WALCOTT is eyeing a switch to MLS with Southampton keen to move the veteran forward on this summer. The ex-England international has not played a game for Saints since an FA Cup outing in February and is yet to appear in the Premier League this year. Walcott , 33, has a year remaining on his deal but Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is happy to let him go at the end of the season. The former Arsenal man has considered a switch Stateside before and is open to doing so if the interest is there this summer, with either Los Angeles or New York among his favoured destinations. Top civil servants across Whitehall are to be asked to draw up plans for how they would deliver personnel cuts of up to 40% in each of their departments, Sky News understands. Two senior government sources have said the Cabinet Office is poised to write to all permanent secretaries asking them to model what would be required to slash staffing numbers in three different scenarios: cuts of 20%, 30% and 40%. It follows a call from Boris Johnson for a 20% reduction in staff - 90,000 people - across Whitehall. Sky News understands the decision to request modelling for cuts of up to 40% is to allow for some flexibility because some departments will be able to cut more than 20% and some less than 20%.
