The NHS is facing a legal challenge over its data deal with controversial Silicon Valley firm Palantir, Sky News can reveal. Palantir, which has become notorious for its close ties to security services and immigration agencies in the United States, secured its first ever deal to handle NHS data in March last year for the nominal sum of £1. Legal group Foxglove announced today that it was bringing a court case against the health service to force it to reconsider the contract, which was extended in December 2020 and is now worth £23.5m. Foreign travel may also be given the go-ahead from May 17, although a review into restarting travel concludes on April 12. Depending on its findings, dates could change. Where can we go? Currently there are 33 countries on the high-risk list. Anyone travelling from these countries to the UK will need to quarantine in a government-approved hotel for ten days at a cost of £1,750. ROCHESTER police will not be charged in the death of Daniel Prude, a mentally ill Black man officers were seen on video placing a hood over his head as they pressed his body into the ground. Prude, 41, died in March days after his encounter with police was written off as a "drug overdose." However, after body camera footage worn by the officers was made public, outcries began over the police cover-up and potential killing of Prude. A grand jury declined to indict the officers even after New York Attorney General Letitia James put together what she considered the strongest case possible, but said the jury could not be persuaded the officers had committed a crime. It was only six months after Prude's death that the video was made public, with pressure calling for the officers involved to be disciplined for their actions. James was apologetic she could not push the jury to charge the officers.
