Lined with palms and a row of cabanas shading beige-coloured daybeds, the swimming pool is also a contender for the sleekest in the region, and the same can be said for the newly opened hotel as a whole. The arrival of Silversands is the most newsworthy hotels event on Grenada for many years. Oistin’s fish fry is buzzing. Laughter fills the warm evening air as a live calypso band strikes up a tune on the nearest street corner. Laid out in front of me are rows of long trestle tables packed with groups of people drinking rum punch and tucking into teaming plates of freshly caught fish. It’s a Friday night and the streets around Oistins are alive. Nestled on the south coast of Barbados, Oistins is a busy fishing town which encapsulates everything there is to love about the Caribbean. On weekend nights the town is a hub of activity, as tourists and locals alike descend on the fish fry at Oistins Bay Gardens, where fresh tuna, swordfish and mahi-mahi are cooked on the spot in front of you and served up in an informal setting. MOSCOW, Nov 30 (PRIME) -- Russian multi-industry holding Sistema is considering selling its beneficial stake in Global Petroleum Group (GPG) that produces oil and gas in the shelf zone of Grenada partially or fully, Vedomosti business daily reported on Friday quoting Sistema’s core owner Vladimir Yevtushenkov as saying. He did not elaborate, but sources said that Sistema is discussing the deal with Chinese buyers among others, and that one large Chinese fund was interested in the asset. A source familiar with Sistema’s management said that it was still unclear whether the company would sell its entire stake or part of it, and that much depends on offers. In 2013, Sistema’s Cyprus unit bought 50% in Multiple Investments, which controls GPG that has the only license for production of hydrocarbons in Grenada’s shelf zone.
