America is reeling in shock this week after former President Donald Trump 's Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, was raided by the FBI . It is understood to be part of an ongoing investigation into the potentially unlawful removal and destruction of classified White House records after Trump left office in January 2021. In a statement made via his Truth Social app, Trump claimed the property was " under siege " and that the raid was "unannounced," with many of his supporters arriving at the property to protest the move. While there may be very strong grounds for the investigation, little to no formal information has been shared by the Department of Justice or the FBI, with social media abuzz with conjecture . Claims range from "deep state" conspiracy theories to the possibility that Trump may no longer be able to run for office in 2024 . To help filter the noise, Newsweek has examined the speculation and analysis to try to accurately determine what, at this stage, … [Read more...] about Donald Trump and the Mar-a-Lago FBI raid—What we do know, what we don’t

Mike Tyson’s five best KO’s ranked as anniversary nears of first world title win
Mike Tyson is the youngest world heavyweight champion in boxing history, having claimed his first title at the tender age of 20 years, four months and 22 days old. It came all the way back in November 1986 against Trevor Berbick, who was sent stumbling across the ring after just two rounds with ‘Iron’ Mike in November 1986. Nobody has ever managed to break his astonishing record, with Briain’s Herbie Hide coming closest as a 22-year-old in 1994. And ahead of the 33rd anniversary of Tyson’s first world-title triumph, Starsport have ranked the five best knockouts of his heavyweight career. 5. Francois Botha (16 January 1999) After back-to-back defeats at the hands of Evander Holyfield, and a suspension for biting the American’s ear in his second disqualification loss, Tyson returned 19 months later against Botha and looked rusty early on. Yet his lethargic start meant little in the end, as he whipped in a devastating right hand that sent the South African crashing to the … [Read more...] about Mike Tyson’s five best KO’s ranked as anniversary nears of first world title win
Esther Rantzen cried so hard when British hero was introduced to kids he saved from Nazis
In a television career decades-long, this is the only moment which has broken Dame Esther Rantzen. It prompted her to cry so hard, she had to step away. Recording had to be paused. That moment came in 1988, when she was presenting That’s Life to an audience of up to 18 million, during that unforgettable episode in which the story of Sir Nicholas Winton was told for the very first time. The humanitarian, who afterwards came to be known as the British Schindler, had rescued 669 mostly Jewish children from Czechoslovakia before the outbreak of WW2, but in the intervening decades had barely told a soul. It was the moment it was revealed he was unknowingly sitting next to three of those 669, none of which he had met before. And in which they learnt for the first time who was responsible for saving their lives - and got to say thank-you. It is television gold now to be recreated in a new BBC biopic about Sir Nicholas, in which he will be played by Sir Anthony Hopkins. “It was … [Read more...] about Esther Rantzen cried so hard when British hero was introduced to kids he saved from Nazis
I didn’t know high blood pressure could be so dangerous – until I had a stroke at 32
I immediately felt light headed as soon as I jumped into a bunker to see where my golf ball had landed. It passed quickly, so I brushed it off as nothing and kept playing. A few holes later, I put my ball down and had a good whack at it, but then instantly felt dizzy again. It was worse than before – a lot more intense – so I sat down in the golf buggy with my uncle because I felt too woozy. As we were driving down to where our balls were, my uncle looked at me and said ‘Are you alright?’ I said I didn’t know. He said I had a slight dipping of my mouth on the right side. My two friends had a look at me – they’re police officers – and they were all very concerned. My mate Danny is usually a bit of a joker but when I looked at him, he had the most serious face I’ve ever seen on him. That was pretty alarming. So they called an ambulance. I had no idea what was going on. It certainly didn’t occur to me that I’d burst an artery. The ambulance came very quickly – within … [Read more...] about I didn’t know high blood pressure could be so dangerous – until I had a stroke at 32
Carpal tunnel syndrome main causes – does masturbating make it worse?
Certain habits done to excess are known to aggravate muscles and could cause long-term injury if care isn't taken. With many opting to stay indoors throughout the hot water, video gaming and even texting too much is known to cause a condition called carpal tunnel syndrome. You may notice a sudden tingling and numbness in your fingers and hands, with all fingers affected except the little finger. You may also feel a sensation like an electric shock which travels from the wrist up the arm. What exactly is carpal tunnelling , how can you treat it - and can too much masturbating exacerbate it? What are the main causes of carpal tunnel? “Nine tendons and a nerve (called the median nerve) pass through a tube called the carpal tunnel that goes from your forearm to your palm,” says WebMD. The health site added: “Repeated movements, like texting, typing, or video gaming, can inflame the tube and push on the nerve. “This could cause pain, especially in your forearm. … [Read more...] about Carpal tunnel syndrome main causes – does masturbating make it worse?
James Wade column: I dashed back from Barnsley for son’s birth before heading Down Under
It’s not often I am delighted to be on double one, but I couldn’t be happier to announce that my wife Samantha and I have now got a second child in the Wade household. Our youngest son, Alfie, was born on Thursday and after some early worries, both mother and baby are now home safe and healthy. It was a bit of a mad dash for me, as I was at the Players Championship events in Barnsley on Wednesday. While I was keen to focus on the job at hand, it is far easier said than done when your mind is hundreds of miles away worrying about your family. With the benefit of hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have gone to Barnsley as my heart was at home with Samantha, but I have always wanted to give my all to the game and try to pick up ranking points wherever possible. It was just difficult to do myself justice.
