Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley has been called out for an "inappropriate" comment he made toward Lioness player Alessia Russo. The football star appeared on the show to discuss her team's historic win, but one comment made by Madeley set viewers on edge. He greeted the Euro 2022 winner to the programme along with Kate Garraway and the two set about grilling Russo over the women's win against Germany. Madeley said: ""How are you feeling? It's three days on now. If I was your dad and asked you that and said, 'How are you feeling love?' What would you say?" Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard has issued a plea to Tory MPs to ‘come and chat’ after an unknown minister shunned their spot on the programme on Friday morning. On Thursday, the Bank of England gave a ‘doomsday’ forecast, believing the country will enter a recession by Christmas which will last a total of 15 months . A recession is declared in the UK when the economy consistently shrinks for six months or more. Inflation is set to hit 13% by October. This was top of the list of the headlines on GMB on Friday morning, with both Charlotte Hawkins and Ben not downplaying the severity of the situation. The proposed 2% increase with a guaranteed £800 rise for lower earners was rejected by 93% of GMB members and 83.3% from Unite who took part in their ballots. The unions said the votes increased the prospect of strike action this summer. Local authority body Cosla said the offer remained on the table while negotiations continued. The GMB, which represents 20,000 local government workers in services such as home care, refuse, school support, and roads and maintenance, is calling for a "significantly improved offer". RICHARD Madeley has pitched for Love Island to be bumped up to ITV after the series final last night. The Good Morning Britain host has famously shunned the hit reality show and even threatened to leave the country to avoid the frenzy. Today he made a U-turn after the 2022 final aired last night and put it to viewers that the show should be given recognition on ITV's prime channel. Speaking to Showbiz Editor Richard Arnold, the TV veteran said: "Richard, given it’s been such a success. The ratings - they’ve never had ratings like it - do you think they’ll bring it over to ITV one?" His colleague replied: "Well that’s a very good point. The TV star posted a rare video with his other half as he revealed he'd made her a special drink.
