MADELEINE MCann's parents were made official suspects in her disappearance to save Portuguese tourism, a new theory has claimed. A TOP British cop initially suspected Madeleine McCann’s dad was involved in her disappearance, it has been revealed. Jim Gamble, the senior child protection officer in UK's first Maddie investigation, said he even tried to convince Gerry McCann to confess. But Mr Gamble told a sensational new Netflix documentary about the three-year-old's disappearance that he is now convinced that Maddie’s parents did nothing wrong.
