For dedicated fans of both the Game of Thrones TV show and George RR Martin’s books, one of the most significant page-to-screen switches was a majore mess about with the characters’ ages. In some cases, the general “aging up” makes good sense. Daenerys, for instance, is just 13 when she’s married off to Dothraki warlord Khal Drogo in the very first Game of Thrones book. Given the sexual nature of the pair’s relationship, it’s... GAME of Thrones fans have predicted a bloody ending for the show’s incestuous couples. Jon Snow will murder his aunt Daenerys Targaryen and Jaime Lannister will kill his sister Cersei predict fans of the notoriously brutal HBO fantasy series. Jon and Daenerys were happily unaware that they are related through Jon’s true parentage when they had sex on a boat during series 7. The hot new couple really hit it off and fans have already predicted that Daenerys may be pregnant after their love making. But the pair are unlikely to have a happy ending – as one theory suggests Jon will be forced to turn on his new love in order to forge a magic sword to defeat the Night King and his army of the undead. The Red Priestess Melisandre predicted that Jon is the legendary ‘Prince That Was Promised’ or ‘Warrior of Light’ who is the saviour in the religion of the Lord of Light. FANS are patiently waiting for Game Of Thrones creator and author George R.R. Martin's book The Winds of Winter. Martin's most recent work to date was released in 2011 - and he is yet to even finish his next instalment yet. He's been working on a spin-off series Fire and Blood. Here's what you need to know. When is Winds Of Winter coming out? George R.R. Martin is notorious for taking his time when writing his Game Of Thrones series. The release date for The Winds Of Winter is not set in stone but it has been theorised that could possibly be released to coincide with the final series of the HBO show based on his books - although this would take us all the way into 2019. Ultimately, this would come as nothing but a disappointment to die-hard fans but it should be noted that the longer he takes, the better the next chapter in his magnum opus will be. George revealed in a blog post that he planned on giving himself a lot of time to write in 2017 - and according to AV Club, the notoriously … [Read more...] about When is The Winds Of Winter’s release date and has George RR Martin finished Game of Thrones’ book six?
A writer who was influenced by Game of Thrones has been jailed for life after killing his neighbour in a frenzied attack with a sword and knife he kept to inspire his own fantasy novel. Douglas Plumpton, 26, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court for sentencing after he was found guilty of the murder of Iain Maddocks following a nine day trial. Plumpton initially claimed he was acting in self-defence when Mr Maddocks came to his flat armed with a kitchen knife. He further claimed that he grabbed the sword, which was one of two he had to help him make scenes realistic in a Game of Thrones-type novel he was writing. But his version of events was rejected by the jury, and passing sentence Judge Alan Conrad QC said he was satisfied both the knife and the sword had been used by Plumpton in the attack on Mr Maddocks. In her personal victim statement, read out in court, Mr Maddocks' mum Linda said the death of her son was "the worst day of my life". Prostitute says she sits back and smokes crack … [Read more...] about Writer inspired by Game of Thrones books killed neighbour using ceremonial sword
