When is the 2021 Budget – and what will be in it? Stamp duty, furlough and more
The 2021 Budget will feature everything from booze, fuel and cigarettes to wages, housing and Britain's Covid response. Rishi Sunak is set to focus on four themes - "support, vision, recovery, honesty" - when he addresses the nation in his annual statement next Wednesday. The Tory Chancellor is tipped to extend furlough, the Stamp Duty cut and other Covid support by three months, and the £20-a-week Universal Credit uplift by six months. He will unveil grim financial projections on Britain's economy and begin to sketch a vision for how it'll be made better post-vaccine - with grants of up to £18,000 for lockdown-battered firms to reopen. He could announce a string of other measures to help the economy recover - though some of these, like schemes to push people back into shops and restaurants, may not come until later. Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause’s ex Keo Motsepe ‘made a big mistake’ and ‘he’s truly ashamed’ after couple splits
SELLING Sunset star Chrishell Stause's ex Keo Motsepe is "truly ashamed" for the "web of lies" he created in the lead-up to their split, it is claimed. The Netflix show favorite and Dancing With The Stars pro called time on their short yet sweet relationship this week. The break-up came just days after Chrishell, 39, finalized her high-profile divorce with ex Justin Hartley , with this particular heartbreak forming one of the main plot lines of Selling Sunset's third season. It has been a messy relationship end for the glam realtor, despite initial claims their split was "mutual." The TV star this week took to Instagram to let rip at Keo, 31, for "playing the victim" and "lying" after their emotional business was made public. Now a source has conceded Keo made a "big mistake" - and there will likely be no fairytale happy ending. They told US Weekly : "Keo was caught in a web of lies. "He’s not denying the fact that he lied to her [Chrishell] and is … [Read more...] about Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause’s ex Keo Motsepe ‘made a big mistake’ and ‘he’s truly ashamed’ after couple splits
Gareth Bale says he’s ‘experienced enough to keep head down and not say anything stupid’ amid criticism at Spurs
TOTTENHAM star Gareth Bale says he knows not to 'say anything stupid' when answering his critics. The 31-year-old silenced his doubters with two goals in Spurs' 4-0 win against Burnley . Speaking to Sky Sports after the match , Bale said: "I have been building up a little bit to get fully fit. I felt comfortable and my form is coming back, it's nice to help the team. "I know you get criticism but I am experienced enough to keep my head down, not say anything stupid and keep plugging away. "We know football isn't fair sometimes and people will criticise but all we can do inside is keep going, and we showed that today." Bale has endured a tough time since re-joining Tottenham on loan in the summer. He has struggled to get a solid run of games in the team, looking a shadow of the player who left in 2013 to win four Champions League titles at Real Madrid. And he annoyed boss Jose Mourinho earlier in the month when he posted a misleading picture of himself … [Read more...] about Gareth Bale says he’s ‘experienced enough to keep head down and not say anything stupid’ amid criticism at Spurs
