Kim Kardashian may have filed for divorce from Kanye West just a few weeks ago but it appears the rapper may not be giving up hope of a reconciliation with his wife just yet. The 43-year-old was spotted flashing his wedding ring as he closed his car door outside of his Calabasas office. Flashing what appeared to be a smile, Kanye also looked like he was head to toe in his Yeezy line, wearing a dark grey shirt matched with blue trousers. The Gold Digger singer is said to be hoping to work things out with the mother of his four kids, according to a source close to the star. But the source also told ET that Kanye doesn’t expect any reconciliation to happen in the immediate future. However, Kim is said to be “happy to see that chapter close” as she filed the divorce papers. Sources shared that the singer hadn’t been doing well since the divorce was filed and had been trying to distract himself with work. Kim, 40, took steps to end the pair’s six-year marriage and they … [Read more...] about Kanye West spotted ‘still wearing wedding ring’ after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce

Coronavirus digest: Brazil’s Bolsonaro tells people ‘stop whining’
Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro said on Thursday that people needed to "stop whining" about COVID-19 in his latest outburst against the protective measures to contain the crisis. The far-right leader's comments come as Brazil goes through its deadliest week of the coronavirus pandemic, with more than 1,300 deaths per day. "Stop whining. How long are you going to keep crying about it?" Bolsonaro said as he called for easing restrictions. "We regret the deaths ... But where's Brazil going to end up if we just close everything?" The South American country of 212 million people has had an outbreak of cases, partly due to a variant of the virus detected in the Amazon rainforest. Bolsonaro previously compared COVID-19 to a "little flu" and promoted hydroxychloroquine as medication, despite studies showing its inefficiency against the virus. Melanie Leupolz: Germany can learn from Women’s Super League
When Melanie Leupolz was presented with the chance to swap Bayern Munich for Chelsea last year, it was an offer she simply couldn’t refuse. The allure of the Women's Super League (WSL), and the opportunity to experience something new was a dream come true. After finishing the season at Bayern, she packed her bags and headed for London. "I always wanted to play abroad," she told DW. "For me the English league is the best in the world because it is really equal and there are so many good teams. It was my first wish to go here, and I am really happy that everything worked out." It had been going so well at Bayern — where Leupolz was club captain. She had joined in 2014 from Freiburg and won back-to-back Women's Bundesliga titles in her first two years in Bavaria. But Leupolz explained how the German top flight had become repetitive over the years, with the same two teams winning the league over and over again. She had a point. Since 2012, the title has been won exclusively by … [Read more...] about Melanie Leupolz: Germany can learn from Women’s Super League
Beijing declares only ‘patriots’ should rule Hong Kong as elections delayed again
Beijing has declared that only "patriots" should rule Hong Kong - and unveiled plans to change the city's electoral system to ensure just that. Candidates for election to the Legislative Council - Hong Kong 's parliament - will be vetted, according to the proposed changes. And elections scheduled for 2020, already postponed for a year, will be pushed back to 2022. "The rioting and turbulence that occurred in the Hong Kong society reveals that the existing electoral system in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has clear loopholes and deficiencies," said Wang Chen, vice chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, according to state media. The NPC, China 's annual parliament, is meeting in Beijing this week. The changes to Hong Kong's electoral system are only a proposal but will almost certainly be approved given the rubber stamp nature of the NPC. "Loopholes" is one of Beijing's favourite terms for describing aspects of … [Read more...] about Beijing declares only ‘patriots’ should rule Hong Kong as elections delayed again
