After a long, hard season you may have thought the Leicester City players would want a break from each other. However, despite over 10 months together during City’s season, the squad have jetted off for a group holiday to the south of France. Brendan Rodgers’ squad are the guests of City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha in Saint Tropez and some of the players have posted photos of themselves relaxing in the sun. However, it will be a brief respite for some of the squad as they still have international games to play before they can put their feet up. Ben Chilwell and Harry Maguire have been named in the England squad for the Nations League semi-final against Holland in Portugal on June 6, with a final or third-place play-off three days later. Aidy Boothroyd has opened the door to England’s Young Lions featuring in the summer’s Nations League finals and European Under-21 Championship. Players including Callum Hudson-Odoi and Jadon Sancho could be used by Gareth Southgate and are also eligible for Boothroyd’s squad. And though the schedule is tight, U21s boss Boothroyd sees no reason why certain players cannot be part of both tournaments. Chelsea teenager Hudson-Odoi was promoted to Southgate’s squad this week, after initially being called up to the Under-21s. He is due to return to Young Lions duty for the Euros in Italy and San Marino in the second half of June, but is clearly high in Southgate’s thoughts ahead of the Nations League finals in Portugal earlier in the month.
