É a primeira mulher em 30 anos a assumir a liderança do governo francês. A atual ministra do trabalho, Elisabeth Borne, vai substituir Jean Castex, que se demitiu esta segunda feira, depois de dois anos no cargo de primeiro-ministro. Elisabeth Borne tem 61 anos. Nasceu em Paris e é filha de um judeu nascido na Rússia, refugiado em França e deportado para um campo de extermínio em 1942. Tem mantido um perfil forte mas discreto no governo de Emmanuel Macron, e é reconhecida pela discrição e lealdade ao presidente. Começou a frequentar os corredores da política em meados dos anos 80, primeiro como conselheira de vários gabinetes governamentais e depois, nos anos 90, como conselheira do Ministério da Educação. Kay Mellor, who wrote hit TV dramas Fat Friends and The Syndicate, has died aged 71. Born in Leeds, the writer, who began with plays, died on Sunday, her production company announced. "We have lost a phenomenal talent and a true luminary," Rollem Productions added in a statement. Other TV credits included Band of Gold, about a group of women from Bradford's red light district, football series Playing the Field, and Girlfriends. Mellor also wrote episodes of Coronation Street and Brookside, and created the award-winning children's drama Children's Ward. ACTOR and screenwriter Kay Mellor has sadly died. The star, best known for writing series including Fat Friends, The Syndicate and Band of Gold, was 71. Who was Kay Mellor? Kay was an English actress and scriptwriter. She was born in Leeds on May 11, 1951, and later studied at Bretton Hall College, which is now part of the University of Leeds. Kay’s legacy led to her being appointed an OBE in 2009 and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Television Society in 2016. She was also awarded the Bafta Dennis Potter award in 1997 for Outstanding Writing for Television. Kay Mellor, best known for writing hit series including ITV’s Girlfriends , Band of Gold and The Syndicate, has died aged 71. Leeds-born Mellor – whose daughter is actress Gaynor Faye – also penned series Fat Friends, starring James Corden, which aired from 2000 until 2005 and was turned into a musical. In a statement, it was confirmed Mellor died on Sunday night, with tributes coming in from Fat Friends stars Ruth Jones and Lisa Riley.
