‘Mean’ police officer who lied about having cancer to get out of work sacked
A police officer used a "disturbing level of meanness and malice" by falsely claiming she had cancer to get out of work. Police Constable Olivia Lucas resigned from Hampshire Constabulary ahead of the disciplinary hearing which would have removed her from the job. Between October 2018 and July 2019 the New Forest officer lied to colleagues and supervisors about having leukaemia and that she was receiving treatment at a specialist hospital. Concerned about her health, colleagues carried out fundraising events to raise money for her. She set out to "destroy the relationships and reputations" of colleagues by sending a retired police officer a fabricated County Court Judgment (CCJ) implicating a colleague, as well as a faked surveillance log and false messages from the Professional Standards Department, a panel found. Rufo, a contributing editor of City Journal and director of the Discovery Institute’s Center on Wealth & Poverty, detailed the "story of Buffalo Public Schools" in an article published Tuesday. Degrassi star Jahmil French's co-stars paid tribute to their friend and colleague on social media after telling fans he had died at the age of 29. The Canadian actor was best known for his role as Dave Turner in the Canadian teen drama series Degrassi: Minis and Degrassi: The Next Generation. He also appeared in Netflix series Soundtrack and Pop TV series Let's Get Physical.
