THIS two-bedroom semi-detached price is a steal at just £50,000 but the buyer must be ready to do some major clearing up. The semi-detached house in Birmingham is being auctioned with a guide price of £50,000, significantly lower than most property elsewhere in the country. However, photos show the home filled with piles of rubbish, and all of the contents - furniture, cardboard boxes, clothing and other items - come with the property in the Birmingham suburb of Quinton. Prospective buyers aren't allowed inside and whoever purchases the property will have to get rid of the mess and sink thousands of pounds into a refurbishment, Birmingham Live reports. The property is the cheapest listed in Birmingham. But pictures of the interior could put off prospective buyers before it is auctioned on April 3. Photos show rubbish piled from wall to wall. An online listing says it is located in a "popular" neighbourhood but is "in need of refurbishment". The house has a … [Read more...] about Britain’s messiest house? 2-bed semi on sale for just £50k – but you’ll have to clean up before you move in
Countdown: Last scheduled game at Ricoh will finish in 0 Days 0 Hours 0 minutes 0 Seconds Some fans have vowed to boycott Coventry City matches next season unless bosses pull off a deal to stay at the Ricoh Arena. Many fans did stay away during the football club's exile at Northampton's Sixfields stadium in 2013/14, when a previous rent row saw the club up sticks. The new warning from fans comes after CoventryLive reported how chief executive David Boddy had said the club could potentially play at a ground "marginally outside" the six milles from Coventry city centre boundary previously set by the English Football League. The Sky Blues have just four home matches at the Ricoh until they are homeless. Their rent deal there runs out at the end of the season - and stadium owners' Wasps have repeatedly said they will not discuss another deal unless long-running legal action over the sale of the Ricoh in 2014 ends . Coventry City's future has never seemed so uncertain - despite the Sky Blues now flirting with the play-offs. The 136-year-old football club has less than six weeks until it is potentially expelled from the English Football League (EFL). The team will be homeless at the end of the season as their rent deal at the Ricoh expires, with the stadium's owners Wasps refusing to hold talks on a new contract until ongoing legal action by the club's owners is dropped . The club's bosses have always said they want to stay on at the Ricoh and that it is best for the players and fans. But lately talk has turned to other options which are being explored by the club. Another groundshare, like the one that saw the team relocate to Sixfields in Northampton in 2013/14, is not high on the list of fans' wishes. And until now, club bosses have said the EFL will only allow them to play within six miles of Coventry, giving them very limited options indeed. But David Boddy's latest comments appear to show … [Read more...] about Has Cov City chief dropped a big hint about a groundshare?
Animal rights activists are planning day of action in Plymouth as they step up campaigns against fur and factory farming. More than 130 people, from across Devon and Cornwall, have said they are prepared to attend an anti-fur protest outside the Flannels fashion store on the Piazza, and others will be demonstrating against the intensive farming of animals, at the Drake Circus end of New George Street, on Saturday, March 16, 2019. The anti-fur protest – which will feature “a lot of chanting” - will be the third one held outside Mike Ashley’s flagship clothing store, as part of the national Stop Fur at Flannels crusade. And there will also be a Cube of Truth event near the New George Street entrance of Drake Circus Shopping Centre. This is where masked activists stand silently holding laptops broadcasting images and details of animal use and abuse inside factory farms, and promote a vegan lifestyle. Organisations, including Devon Animal Save, have been backing the … [Read more...] about Vegans to stage huge animal rights protest in Plymouth city centre
