The Queen's Gambit was one of 2020's most talked about series, earning huge streaming numbers and rave reviews. And now the Netflix chess drama is heading to Broadway, courtesy of production company Level Forward. Level Forward has obtained the rights to the Walter Tevis novel the awards-winning show was based on and is now developing a musical adaptation of the Anya Taylor-Joy-fronted limited series. Music to my ears: The Queen's Gambit is being adapted into a musical by Level Forward production company, which just acquired the rights to the book the series is based off of The company has a history on hits on stage, previously working on Alanis Morrissette's musical Jagged Little Pill and Jeremy O'Harris' critically-acclaimed Slave Play. The Queen's Gambit can surely bank on a built-in audience, boasting the title of Netflix's most watched limited series in November 2020. The Chancellor may have frozen fuel duty for the tenth year running, but drivers face a raft of new changes from April, when the new tax year comes into force. Road tax is rising in line with inflation while local clean air zone charges - which currently only exist in the capital - are set to be rolled out across major UK cities as the crackdown against pollution continues. Elsewhere, proposals are being tabled for a Greater London charge, which would cost drivers £3.50 a day to enter the outer boroughs. CORONATION Street’s Kate Spencer lost four stone before joining the ITV soap as Michael Bailey's ex Grace Vickers. The actress – who worked at the box office in Derby Theatre before landing a role in Corrie – has revealed she used to be overweight before she discovered a passion for running, boxing and yoga. Kate, 29, said: "I actually lost four stone about five years ago, partly through training and also eating better. "I love running, and I did five half-marathons in 2020 – I ran one this morning too! I have the Hamilton soundtrack and Jason Derulo on my running playlist."
