Floods warnings have been issued for the South East as forecasters warn of three weeks of rain in one hour as the heatwave is set to end. Torrential showers and thundery weather is expected to strike the South East today amid fears of possible flooding. The Met Officer says the worst of the weather is due to hit between 1pm to 11pm. "Whilst most places will miss the worst, it could lead to localised surface water flooding and difficult driving conditions. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has arrived in flood-hit Derbyshire after parts of Britain suffered chaos yesterday as a woman's body was recovered from floodwater, drivers were stranded in their cars and people were forced to sleep in a shopping centre overnight. He attended a briefing from emergency personnel including members of the East Midlands Ambulance Service and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service at Matlock Police Station as he arrived in the Midlands to see the impact of the weather.
