Lord Frost denies there’s a ‘climate emergency’ and says we should back fracking and nuclear energy
LORD Frost has denied there is a "climate emergency" and told the next PM to stop "hectoring" Brits about going green. The ex-Cabinet Minister - and Tory grassroots darling - slammed the current "totally unrealistic approach" of trying to cut emissions. He said eco concerns should be "tackled in a pragmatic way" rather than "up-ending the whole way our societies work". In an essay for Policy Exchange he wrote: "We are told to stop travelling, live local, eat less, stop eating meat, turn our lights out and generally to stop being a burden." He also hit out at ministers prioritising "medieval" solutions like wind turbines rather than fracking and nuclear energy. Lord Frost wrote: "'Rather, the effects of climate change are a problem, one of the many we face, and should be tackled in that pragmatic way rather than by asking us to up-end the whole way our societies work. Can you make a theme park trip luxury? We go to Fairmont Windsor Park to find out
It might be hard to believe but we might have found the secret formula to getting over a hot, sweaty day with the kids at a theme park. Fairmont Windsor Park has launched a Legoland package and while kids’ days out and luxury don’t often go hand-in-hand, we thought we would give it a try to see if it’s worth the hype. We can confirm, yes it was. Parents will know that a day out at a theme park needs some psyching up, not only is it mentally taxing but also physically – especially if your little one is too young to ditch the buggy but wants their own independence to march around. It was busy, with some rides up to 60 minutes long, meaning they were quickly ruled out as my two-year-old does not have the patience to wait that long so I would definitely advise on getting an upgrade on the tickets to fast track. Racking up the steps, you find yourself in awe of the majestical sculptures built out of Lego which was totally … [Read more...] about Can you make a theme park trip luxury?
