DOI’s Lady Leshurr leaves fans in tears as she opens up about late sister’s cancer secret
Lady Leshurr left Dancing On Ice viewers in tears tonight as she opened up about her late sister's cancer secret. The 32-year-old rapper paid tribute to her sister Carmen, who tragically died from breast cancer in January 2019 aged just 39. For her second skate, Lady Leshurr chose an Alesha Keys song that her sister used to love. Opening up about her sister, she revealed that her sister hadn't told anyone that she had cancer before she died. Heartbreakingly, Carmen's husband had also died from cancer, leaving their eight children orphaned - who Lady Leshurr's mum took in to look after. Following her skate, Lady Leshurr said: "I hope I did my sister proud... I think it's always good to speak about things that might be awkward." Myanmar authorities threaten more arrests
A large group of pro-democracy protesters were cornered by Myanmar security forces on Monday after breaking a night-time curfew to demonstrate against a military coup. The UN said 200 people were unable to leave the site of the rally. "We urge the police to immediately allow them to leave safely and without reprisals." Thousands previously marched through the Sanchaung district in the country's biggest city of Yangon to call on the ruling junta to stand aside. But authorities said they would round up and arrest anyone found to be breaching the curfew. Western powers pile on pressure UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for "maximum restraint and urges for the safe release of all without violence or arrests," UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said. When can I claim the fourth grant for self-employed?
MILLIONS of self-employed Brits will be given up to £7,500 thanks to the fourth self-employment grant. Chancellor Rishi Sunak confirmed further details about the scheme as part of his Budget including who is eligible. The fourth grant will cover lost earnings through February, March and April as a result of coronavirus. Eligible self-employed workers who have lost income due to the virus will be able to claim 80% of their earnings each month, up to a cap of £2,500. The Chancellor also confirmed that a fifth and final grant will be available covering lost income for June, July and August. This value of this grant will be determined by a turnover test, Like the previous payouts, the grants will be part of the self-employment income support scheme (SEISS). The Chancellor has confirmed that both grants will now be available for 600,000 newly self-employed workers as long as they submitted a tax return by midnight last night.
