THE Xbox 360 changed the face of console gaming, and here are the very best games on offer. Game Of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon is very nearly here, with stars Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy and Paddy Considine leading the cast at the premiere. The highly-anticipated series is set 200 years before the events of the main show and will follow House Targaryen at the height of its power across the Seven Kingdoms, when King Viserys I ( Paddy Considine ) sat on the Iron Throne. Seemingly because Hollywood is strapped for fresh ideas to invest in, it’s been announced a reimagining of the story that inspired 1939 classic The Wizard Of Oz is in the works. You would think the ol’ adage of ‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it’ would apply here, but hey, a modern trip down the yellow brick road is apparently what 2021 ordered. Overnight New Line Cinema announced a ‘reimagined’ look at the iconic story, which will see Nicole Kassell, known for her work on acclaimed TV drama Watchmen, direct. It is the latest adaptation of L Frank Baum’s beloved 1900 book, The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz, which follows Dorothy, a young girl who finds herself transported to a fantasy world before befriending Scarecrow, cowardly Lion and Tin Man as she tries to find the titular wizard to help her return home.
