Gameplay footage of Dr Disrespect’s multiplayer game is making the rounds and it’s underwhelming for a supposed Call Of Duty rival. Although he remains a popular Internet personality, Dr Disrespect (real name: Herschel Beahm IV) announced he would be entering the world of game development last year with his own studio, Midnight Society . His first game, a vertical extraction shooter called Deadrop, is now playable via a private demo. Although maybe demo isn’t the right word since it doesn’t seem to demonstrate how the game actually works. Footage of the first gameplay ‘snapshot’, as it’s called, is being shared online and it consists entirely of a simple firing range, plus a small outside area that shows off what the city setting looks like. There doesn’t even appear to be any multiplayer functions, despite Deadrop being a multiplayer-centric game. All you do is shoot guns at stationary targets. It’s worth noting that this is an early build of the game and it’s … [Read more...] about Dr Disrespect game gets paid-for demo and it’s just a firing range

Chelsea fans furious at ‘clear exploitation’ £75 ticket price for first home game since March against Leeds
CHELSEA fans have responded with fury to the 'eye-watering' £75 ticket price for their return to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have been given the green light to welcome 2,000 supporters to their upcoming games with Leeds and Krasnodar. A ballot system will be deployed to dish out the tickets. But supporters were stunned by the jaw-dropping price tag of £75 for the West Stand seats opposite the dugouts. Some 1,600 of the 2,000 fans allowed in will have to fork out the fee to watch the Leeds game on December 5. The other 400 are to be housed behind the goal in the Shed End, where seats cost £40 each. Chelsea welcome Krasnodar to West London on December 8 and all tickets are set at £35 for that Champions League clash. Juniors, concessions and disabled supporters are able to buy a seat at a 50 per cent deduction. Leading the furious response were the Chelsea Supporters' Trust, who were left 'appalled' by the fees. They stated: "The club, in their wisdom, have … [Read more...] about Chelsea fans furious at ‘clear exploitation’ £75 ticket price for first home game since March against Leeds

Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 leak reveals November release date
A leaked document listing Activision ’s upcoming releases looks to have revealed Call Of Duty : Warzone 2’s launch date. It’s been about six months since Activision announced it was making a sequel to Call Of Duty: Warzone and, apart from confirming it’s due out this year, we still know next to nothing about it. Activision will finally be talking about the game during a Call Of Duty livestream next month. However, it looks as if one detail – the game’s release date – has leaked ahead of its formal announcement. A document listing upcoming Activision releases seems to have been shared online via a screenshot. Aside from giving away the sequel’s actual name (which is simply Call Of Duty: Warzone 2), it says it will launch on November 16. That’s almost three weeks after Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is listed under its internal codename of Call Of Duty: Cortez and launches on October 28. It’s not surprising that the two games would release relatively … [Read more...] about Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 leak reveals November release date
GTA 6 will have old school single-player DLC and new cities claims leak
A new leak claims the original plan for GTA 5 was to include the whole of Liberty City, before the success of GTA Online changed everything. Considering we know next to nothing about GTA 6 at the moment, with even the various rumours being extremely vague and often contradictory, the last thing you’d expect is for details of the game’s DLC plans to leak out. The leak concerns the idea that GTA 6 will expand over time , something which multiple sources have already talked about. Although it’s something you could easily have just guessed at, given how GTA Online has been supported over the last nine years. However, this new leak claims that major additions to the single-player campaign of GTA 5 were also planned but ended up getting cancelled when GTA Online blew up, and because of the need to work on Red Dead Redemption 2. But apparently Rockstar are keen that the same thing shouldn’t happen with GTA 6. It’s already been reported by other leakers that the world … [Read more...] about GTA 6 will have old school single-player DLC and new cities claims leak
MultiVersus leaks Black Adam and Gremlins for Season 1
Ahead of Season 1’s launch, DC’s Black Adam and Gremlins villain Stripe have been leaked as future playable characters. It looks like MultiVersus can’t announce anything without it being leaked online first. Ahead of today’s update, that will kick off Season 1 , two more characters have been confirmed ahead of an official reveal. The two characters in question are DC villain/antihero Black Adam and Gizmo, the main villain of Gremlins. They can be seen in what appears to be an updated version of the game’s login screen, replacing the original duo of Batman and Shaggy. This leak seems to be the result of a new MultiVersus ad being uploaded too early. Several pictures of the artwork show it being displayed on the Xbox dashboard. Stripe’s inclusion isn’t too surprising as he was included in a previous character leak (along with mogwai Gizmo). We can’t recall if Black Adam was ever leaked, but his inclusion makes sense considering the Black Adam movie is releasing this … [Read more...] about MultiVersus leaks Black Adam and Gremlins for Season 1
Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 will get proper reveal in ‘era defining’ live stream
Activision has a big Call Of Duty live stream in September; one that will share some actual information the elusive Warzone sequel. Despite launching later this year, we have yet to see anything of the sequel to Call Of Duty: Warzone . All we do know about it is that Infinity Ward, the studio behind Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, is developing it. Anyone who’s especially eager to learn real details about it will be pleased to know that Activision and Infinity Ward will be lifting the lid on Warzone 2 (or whatever it’s called) next month. An ‘era defining’ live stream event called Call Of Duty: Next is scheduled for September 15. While it currently lacks an exact time, Activision says that it will feature information on the next Warzone. Ideally, this will include some actual gameplay and a release date, but Warzone 2 won’t be the sole focus of the stream. As the name suggests, Call Of Duty: Next is all about the ‘immediate future’ of the series, which means … [Read more...] about Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 will get proper reveal in ‘era defining’ live stream
Culture snobs used to sniff at television – now they’re glued to it
I am not much of a fan of people who say, with that familiar hint of snobbery, “I never watch television”. Nor am I sure that I always believe them. But for several years when I was juggling work and young children I did struggle to find the time to fit telly into my routine. And although I was aware that I was missing out, I would smugly console myself with the fact that I was, at least, reading, and could opine on Dickens and Dostoevsky when asked (which I never was). When one did slump in front of the gogglebox, it was always with a sense of guilt. And when the prodigious Christmas telly binge came round, that sense of indulging a vice was worse than ever. Shouldn’t one be taking in all those bracing, frosty walks the National Trust liked to harp on about? No longer. In this golden age of television drama, not only is it unacceptable to be snobby about watching telly, it is no longer necessary to feel guilty either. The showy pile of books by the bed has been replaced … [Read more...] about Culture snobs used to sniff at television – now they’re glued to it
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 review – end of story
The biggest game of the year blasts its way onto shop shelves, but is it coasting on past successes or could this be the best Call Of Duty yet? This is the year that Call Of Duty’s rivals hoped its crown would slip. After some well-publicised sackings , and then walkouts, from developer Infinity Ward it seemed as if cracks were finally starting to show. But if there were any they’ve been plastered over with consummate skill and this is, for better and for worst, exactly what you’d expect from a sequel to Modern Warfare 2. We do feel some sympathy for Infinity Ward, and co-developers Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. Not only has the series’ success made Call Of Duty a target of hate amongst more elitist gamers, but if Modern Warfare 3 is anything less than the fastest-selling video game of all time (a position held by both Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2) then it will be immediately proclaimed as the beginning of the end for the franchise, Activision and first person … [Read more...] about Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 review – end of story
