First look inside new supersonic jet that could fly from London to New York in 90 minutes

· March 4, 2021 ·

A SUPERSONIC jet which could fly from London to New York in just 90 minutes has revealed what passengers could expect from the flight. Inside the Spike S-512 Supersonic Jet cabin would be a large seating area, which can be converted to beds or a dining area and flat-screen TVs. The flights, which would have a maximum 18 seats, will have no windows, due to window sections being the weakest part of a plane. They also bring in a lot of noise, making the plane not just stronger and more fuel-efficient but quieter as well. Spike Aerospace founder and CEO Vik Kachoria told the Telegraph : "“The Concorde was ridiculously noisy. "Most conversations between two people are between 65 and 75 decibels and the noise level found within most plane cabins is around 85 decibels. "Our windowless aircraft will be about 60 decibels, so lower than the sound of a conversation." Instead, long computer screens along the wall of the cabin will simulate panoramic views. Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible filming scrapped as crew fly home from the Middle East

· February 12, 2021 ·

MISSION Impossible’s all about pulling off the unfeasible – but shooting the film during a pandemic is a challenge too far for leading man Tom Cruise and his team. He flew the cast and crew to the Middle East for the latest run of scenes, but has been forced to end filming of the seventh instalment of the franchise after people refused to work any longer. Production staff demanded they were allowed to head back to the UK this weekend before hotel quarantine rules come into effect on Monday. Studio bosses have now had to charter a private jet to bring them home because they were up in arms about not being able to return to their families. A movie insider said: “The whole production has hit yet another issue and there have been revolts among the cast and crew. “For quite a few of them, the prospect of having to quarantine in a hotel back in the UK is a step too far and they’ve demanded to be flown home before the rules change. The studio has had to fund a jet back and the … [Read more...] about Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible filming scrapped as crew fly home from the Middle East

HARRY Styles’ new love Olivia Wilde is spotted moving her belongings in one direction — out of her old fiance’s home. The US actress, 36, spent Valentine’s Day lugging suitcases from the LA house she shared with Hollywood star Jason Sudeikis , father of her two young children. She unpacked at the Hollywood pad of ex-1D star Harry who she met while directing the 27-year-old’s film Don’t Worry Darling. The cast wrapped filming over the weekend, according to Florence Pugh, who also stars in the movie. And he may be shooting at the same studios where Jason is based for his Apple TV sitcom Ted Lasso. A source tells me: “Harry is appearing in My Policeman.
