A HUGE Chinese rocket is making an uncontrolled re-entry back to Earth and could land on a major city, experts have warned. The 21-ton Long March 5b is returning to earth after launching the first module of China's new space station and could land anywhere in a 'red zone' that includes New York and Madrid. The rocket is currently hurtling back to earth at four miles a second and could fall anywhere between 41 degrees north and south of the equator, an area that also takes in Beijing, Sydney, Delhi and Rio de Janeiro. Jonathan McDowell, an astronomer who tracks objects orbiting the earth, said the Long March 5b’s core stage is seven times bigger than the SpaceX rocket Falcon 9. DEREK Chauvin is among four cops who have been charged with violating George Floyd's civil rights in his arrest death. Thomas Lane , Tou Thao and J. Kueng appeared via videoconference in US District Court in Minneapolis on Friday morning. The charges against them were not read in open court, but a grand jury was investigating whether they and former officer Derek Chauvin violated Floyd’s civil rights. Chauvin was not part of the court appearance. Floyd died on May 25 after Chauvin pressed a knee against his neck to hold him on the ground. Chauvin was convicted last month on state charges of murder and manslaughter in Floyd’s death and is in Minnesota’s only maximum-security prison as he awaits sentencing. The second-degree murder charge carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, the third-degree murder charge a maximum of 25 years and the second-degree manslaughter charge a maximum of 10 years. Brazil's top court on Wednesday gave the go-ahead for a congressional inquiry into the government's handling of the coronavirus pandemic under President Jair Bolsonaro.
