Casing a house in the middle of the night, this is the suspected burglar Fast Show star Simon Day says broke into his home and stole his dog. In CCTV footage released by the actor, the hooded man is seen prowling around a house belonging to his neighbour shortly before Day says he got into his north London home. Telling of his anger, the actor, a friend of Johnny Depp, says they stole a handbag belonging to his wife Ruth as well as two cars parked in the driveway and his Jack Russell Pug crossbreed, Coco. Fasting for 14 hours a day and eating within a 10-hour window may reduce risks of diabetes, a new study suggests. Intermittent fasting on various eating schedules has become trendy among a wide array of celebrities, including everyone from Kourtney Kardashian to Jack Dorsey, who swear longer stretches without food have made them look and feel better. Some of take their fasting schedules to an extreme - but a new study from the University of California, San Diego, found that simply eating within a 10-hour window is not only doable, but confers benefits like weight loss and better cholesterol. In just 12 weeks, the 19 trial participants - most of whom were obese - saw reductions in their BMIs, weights and body fat and many saw improved blood pressure and blood sugar levels. 230 cars were harmed during the making of Fast & Furious 7
Fast & Furious 7 has sped to a $500m total at the worldwide box office in under a week and will become the highest-grossing film of 2015 in a matter of days. But the success comes at a cost: the Wall Street Journal reports that 230 cars were destroyed during James Wan’s shoot in Colorado, Atlanta and Abu Dhabi. The destroyed vehicles included several black Mercedes-Benzes, a Ford Crown Victoria and a Mitsubishi Montero. Around 20 to 30 damaged cars were removed from the shooting site and crushed by Colorado firm Bonnie’s Car Crushers to ensure they would not end up back on the market. The much-discussed street racing sequel, which features the final performance of the late Paul Walker, will pass the £526.8m haul taken by Fifty Shades of Grey this weekend. What do you think of when you hear the phrase “fast food”? Burger? Fried chicken? Late-night kebab? “Salt and vinegar on those, mate?” Yes, please. To all of it. “Fast food”, two words that, for me, conjure up a spectrum of feelings from pleasure and satisfaction to a mild self-loathing, countered by a healthy dose of “I don’t give a crap”. “Instant gratification” is an expression I often use to describe my habits when it comes to food. I can’t suck a lollipop; I never win the “who can make the sweet last the longest competition” with my kids. I don’t even try.
