Lewis Hamilton wants more F1 city race street circuits so diversity among fans is increased
Lewis Hamilton says he wants Formula 1 to race at more street circuits in city centres in future in order to allow fans easier access to racing and increase the diversity of people attending grand prixs. F1 ran its newest street race for the first time just over a week ago when Miami hosted its inaugural event, which was won by Max Verstappen after the world champion managed to overtake Charles Leclerc who had qualified on pole. The event was praised for the party atmosphere it managed to create, though the quality of racing left plenty to be desire and a majority of drivers criticised aspects of the track layout and its slippery surface. Traditional races at historic, purpose-built circuits away from cities are under threat as F1 expands its calendar. New, money-spinning races in the Middle East have been added to the calendar since Liberty Media purchased the sport from Bernie Ecclestone in 2017, and Las Vegas will become F1’s third US-race from 2023 onwards. … [Read more...] about Lewis Hamilton wants more F1 city race street circuits so diversity among fans is increased
Tattoo fan proudly flaunts snap of fresh ink – but some say it looks rude
When it comes to tattoos , it could take ages to decide on a design. For many, getting inked often symbolises something important to them, while others just love the needle. Now one tattoo fan seemed pretty proud of their latest ink, but social media users were left in stitches. The body art lover shared a snap of their design on Instagram with the caption: "My tattoo came out pretty sick." But since it cropped up on Reddit , users on the platform ripped the design apart after a screenshot was shared on the forum. So can you see what's wrong with the person's tattoo? Many users on the online forum said the ink, which is thought to be of a rose, looked more like a woman's vagina. One said: "It's like magic eye. I see a flower, a fish, and a series of vulvas." Another joked: "Is it supposed to be a... kitty?" While a third Reddit user commented: "Man's stuck with a fish cooter on his arm for the rest of his life." Speaking of tattoos, a model who … [Read more...] about Tattoo fan proudly flaunts snap of fresh ink – but some say it looks rude
MPs furious after Prince William was booed at Wembley during FA Cup final
Prince William was booed by thousands of football fans at Wembley Stadium during the FA Cup final yesterday. Footage shows the Duke of Cambridge shaking hands with Liverpool and Chelsea players before kick-off under the sounds of boos, which got progressively louder. It is unclear if both sets of fans were involved, though viewers have claimed it came from the Liverpool stands. Obscene gestures could then be seen among the crowd during God Save The Queen and the hymn Abide With Me – a tradition for Liverpool supporters. One fan was pictured holding a middle finger up in the air, while balancing a little girl on his shoulders. Some have suggested the reaction had a connection to the Hillsborough disaster, which saw 97 people killed in a fatal crush at the FA Cup semi-final in 1989. Royal Family expert Omid Scobie tweeted: ‘An unexpected moment at today’s FA Cup Final, where Liverpool fans booed Prince William and National Anthem. ‘My understanding is that … [Read more...] about MPs furious after Prince William was booed at Wembley during FA Cup final

‘It’s such a beautiful club’ – Mohamed Elneny wants Arsenal stay this summer
Arsenal contract rebel Mohamed Elneny has made it clear he wants to stay at the north London club this summer. The Egyptian, 29, is out of contract at the end of the season and looked set to leave the club as he rarely featured for the Gunners for much of the current campaign. However, an unexpected recent resurgence has seen Elneny become a regular starter in the absence of Thomas Partey and, according to reports, manager Mikel Arteta now wants to keep the midfielder in his squad for next term. Speaking to Sky Sports this week, Elneny expressed his affection for Arsenal but suggested he was waiting for the club to offer him an extension. He said: ‘I’ve said before, if Arsenal want me, it’s my club, my family, but it’s not my decision. I have to wait for them to say “Mo, we want you”. ‘Since the first day I have been here, it has felt like a family. We really work like that here, it’s such a beautiful club.’ When Elneny played in Arsenal’s 4-2 Premier … [Read more...] about ‘It’s such a beautiful club’ – Mohamed Elneny wants Arsenal stay this summer
