May 17, 2022 by www.thesun.co.uk

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry are “still pushing for royal life” despite not wanting to be "associated" with them, a royal expert has claimed. PR expert Lina Citreon discussed the Sussexes ’ lifestyle choices with Christina Garibaldi on the latest episode of Royally Us. Speaking on Royally Us, host Christina Garibaldi said: “They [ Harry and Meghan] are one of the most recognisable couples in the world but they also wanted to straddle that royal life. “You know, when they were told they couldn’t, they’re still using their HRH titles and things, so it seems like they’re still pushing the royal life but don’t really want to be associated with it either”. PR expert Lida said: “One of the things we’ve learnt is you sometimes don’t get to have it both ways. “When you think about royal life and pageantry of the institution, there’s lots of rules that come with that and there’s protocols and there’s rewards. “But celebrity also has rules and protocols and rewards, it … [Read more...] about Royal Family news- Prince Harry & Meghan ‘still pushing for royal life’ despite not wanting the ‘association’ with them

May 17, 2022 by www.newsweek.com

A teenager has received widespread support and advice after revealing his mom and stepdad spent part of his inheritance on their new house. The 17-year-old posted the story to Reddit , under username Reddit_randouser, as he explained his dad passed away two years ago. He was under the impression his father had left him some inheritance, which he'd be eligible to receive once he turned 18. Posting on the site's Am I The A**hole forum, he said: "I'm also getting survivors benefits that my mom uses for me when I need things so is not like she used this inheritance for me." His suspicions were aroused when his mom and stepdad bought a house after previously living in an apartment. The teen wrote: "They never even had enough to go for a vacation or something but all of a sudden they had for a large house out of nowhere. My mom looked guilty about it until she finally admitted they used some of what my dad left me to buy the house. I lost my s***. "They tried to justify that … [Read more...] about Teen backed after mom and stepdad spend his inheritance on new house

Sudden infant death syndrome, or SIDS, “ will be a thing of the past ,” according to Carmel Harrington, a sleep researcher at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, in Australia. A press release describes her new study, out this month, as a “game-changing” effort and a “world-first breakthrough” that could prevent future deaths from the tragic illness. Celebrations quickly spread on social media: “THEY FOUND THE CAUSE OF SIDS. Excuse me while I cry for all the parents,” one viral tweet declared. “Closest thing to a miracle in a long time,” said another . The press soon picked up the story. On Friday, a segment on Good Morning America touted Harrington’s “very, very important study” of SIDS, while a story in the New York Post promised that her data would “ bring closure to countless parents who have endured the nightmare of losing a child.” Rarely is a medical research finding a "breakthrough." But this one - discovering a biomarker in blood that indicates babies' … [Read more...] about No, They Didn’t Find the Cause of SIDS

North Korea’s Covid-19 infection estimated to be over 1 million

May 16, 2022 by www.stuff.co.nz

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un criticised officials over slow medicine deliveries and mobilised the military to respond to a surge in suspected Covid-19 infections, as his nation struggled to contain a fever that has reportedly killed dozens and sickened nearly a million others in a span of three days . North Korean health authorities said on Monday that eight more people died and an additional 392,920 were newly found to have feverish symptoms. That brings the death toll to 50 and illnesses to more than 1.2 million, respectively. It’s a sharp jump from six dead and 350,000 sick reported last Friday, a day after the North said that it found that an unspecified number of people in capital Pyongyang tested positive for the Omicron variant. Kim has acknowledged that the fast-spreading fever, highly likely driven by Covid-19, is causing “great upheaval” in the country, and outside experts say the true scale of the outbreak is likely much bigger than what’s described in the … [Read more...] about North Korea’s Covid-19 infection estimated to be over 1 million
