Saracens face the biggest obstacle yet in their quest to go the season unbeaten when they visit Sandy Park to face Exeter Chiefs on Saturday. The Premiership's top two teams will go head-to-head for the first time this season in what is the most significant match of the campaign to date. Exeter and Saracens have established themselves as the two dominant forces in English rugby over the past few years and between them have won all of the last four Premiership titles, with two of the finals played between them. The pair are all but set for a return to the play-offs this season with a 12-point gap already established between second placed Exeter and third placed Gloucester, while fourth and fifth are four points further adrift. Gloucester 17 Exeter 29 The Exeter fightback is on, the Chiefs rising from the canvas on which they had been dumped by Gloucester last weekend to put in the sort of remorseless, nuggety performance that is their hallmark, all control and pressure. They claimed the bonus point in the last minute with a Harry Williams try to keep their flickering hopes of qualification alive although, in truth, Munster lead the way in Pool 2. It was a chastening night for Gloucester with two yellow cards against them and losing playmaker, Danny Cipriani, to an arm injury just before half-time. Even if the fly-half gone the distance, it is unlikely that he would have been able to exert much influence given that Exeter were so dominant for long stretches. There was so little ball for them to play with. Exeter had got themselves into a pickle over Europe.
