Match of the Day pundits Frank Lampard and Martin Keown have told Swansea City they must “go all in” against Southampton on Tuesday, with the latter suggesting the Welsh club have been gripped by fear in the relegation run-in. The pair were speaking as part of an extended analysis of Swansea’s poor 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth, where some bright first-half moments gave way to a rudderless second period. That, allied to Southampton’s draw against Everton, has seen the Swans drop into the Premier League drop zone heading into the final week of the season. They have home fixtures against the Saints and already-relegated Stoke ahead. When asked who he thought was in better shape to stay up, former Chelsea and England midfielder Lampard opted for the south-coast side, but believes home advantage on Tuesday night could yet swing things back in Swansea’s favour. “It’s a massive game. On today’s showing (I would back) Southampton because with Nathan … [Read more...] about The TV pundits are distinctly unimpressed with Swansea City

Liverpool are in line for a €74m (£67.8m) windfall after reaching their first Champions League final for 11 years. Arsenal, meanwhile, stand to receive around €40m (£35m) after being dumped out of the Europa League in the semi-finals last night by Atletico Madrid. Jurgen Klopp's side could even earn as much as €78m should they beat reigning champions Real Madrid, who have triumphed in three of the last four competitions, in the Kiev final on 26 May. Liverpool have already earned €49.7m in prize money payments – a new record for a British side in the competition – after becoming the first Premier League representative to reach European football's showpiece event since Chelsea lifted the trophy in 2012. After successive defeats to Manchester City, Everton, Arsenal and Spurs, Stoke City face the Hammers desperate for a win to boost their Premier League survival hopes. Now 21, Daria owns an impressive portfolio that features some of the most famous faces from the world of football, from Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, to David Beckham, Gianluigi Buffon and of course, Arsene Wenger. Her body of work has appeared on Russian national television, most notably during the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia, the precursor to World Cup 2018 in the country this summer, as well as on FIFA TV. However, her allegiance to The Gunners dictates that the vast majority of … [Read more...] about ’Real fans are a family’: Russian Arsenal supporter Daria Isaeva, your new favorite football artist
As TV pranks go, it beats Jeremy Beadle's best capers hands down. In 1997, Anders Limpar, then an Everton player, was fooled into believing he'd travelled two years into the future in a time machine as part of an incredibly elaborate and perfectly orchestrated ruse. The ambitious tomfoolery involved an aeroplane, fake scientists, fighter jets, the clever use of make-up and even an imposter dog masquerading as his pal's puppy. And it ended with the 58-cap Sweden star being given some horrifying regarding the World Cup. The prank, executed for the TV show, Blåsningen , came to light after Lee Dixon was reminded of the story on comedian Josh Widdicombe's podcast, Quickly Kevin; Will he Score? The 90s Football Show . Here's how it played out... The prank begins with Limpar, who played 96 times for Arsenal between 1990 and 1994, about to board a plane from Gothenburg to Stockholm with his friend, Dan. At the airport, Dan's partner, Mia, is with them along with her puppy. Bidding … [Read more...] about How ex-Arsenal star was tricked into believing he’d travelled to the future
