The Newcastle United owner has won the rights to make shirts with the official Three Lions logo, emblazoned with the words “2018 Winners” underneath it. Mr Ashley was in Italy to witness Gareth Southgate’s anguish as he missed a penalty against Germany in 1996, and wants to give England fans an extra boost if their team bring the World Cup home. The shirts will be available through Sports Direct’s app, and the company has warned Apple and Google that there could be a huge surge on their servers if England do win. Eric Dier stepped up to take the fifth and match-winning penalty to set up a mouth-watering quarter final clash against Sweden. Pubs across Sheffield erupted as England banished years of heartbreak to finally win a World Cup penalty shoot out. Videos of crowds celebrating wildly in Sheffield pubs flooded Twitter as the city centre soon became awash with England fans. And Sheffield Mayor Magid Magid was on hand to capture the huge party that was only just starting. The charismatic Mayor was filmed driving down Sheffield's Devonshire Street as Three Lions played in the background. He sings along, beeping his horn before waving and cheering along with passing England fans on the street. The whole of Britain will get a bank holiday if England wins the World Cup. There's just one catch - Jeremy Corbyn will have to be Prime Minister. A senior Labour spokesman made the announcement today after last night's nail-biting victory over Colombia on penalties - the first for more than 20 years. "The progress of the England team in the world cup is very exciting for people across the country," the Labour spokesman said. "Obviously we need not to get ahead of ourselves. "But Jeremy believes that if England were to win the World Cup, there should be a public holiday in celebration." All we need now is for both football and Jeremy Corbyn to be coming home.
