Next weekend is a Bank Holiday, and with many people off for an extra day, it is the perfect opportunity to get out and about. To be fair, the build up to the Bank Holiday doesn't look too bad in Coventry and Warwickshire. It may not be too sunny to start off the week, but temperatures should remain constantly in the low-to-mid 20s until Wednesday. Into the weekend itself, there should be more sunny intervals, but the temperatures will drop into the high teens. High pressure will dominate Devon and Cornwall’s weather for several days with warm and humid conditions likely to blanket the region during the early part of the week. But it doesn't look good as we head into the next Bank Holiday with conditions cloudy and possibly wet for the weekend ahead. Temperatures will stay around 23C until Wednesday with cloudy and overcast conditions making it muggy for the next few days. The temperature will then drop to around 17C or 18C in time for the weekend, with sun and showers currently in the forecast for Saturday in Exeter, Newquay, Bude, Looe and Penzance - but not South Devon where it should be drier. Plymouth will also be dry, with a bright, sunny day forecast for Saturday and cooler temperatures through the rest of the week. Brits hoping for a scorching end to summer will be taking a gamble on the weather for this week’s bank holiday weekend. Forecasters say there is “huge uncertainty” with large parts of the UK facing the possibility of unsettled wet weather or a return to heatwave conditions. Yesterday, the remnants of Storm Ernesto swept across the UK bringing heavy rain to many parts of the country. As it crossed the Azores the Atlantic storm brought winds of 45 mph but slowed as it reached our shores. This week will see the warm weather return with temperatures reaching the high 20C’s in the south east on Tuesday and Wednesday. The weather will remain rather cloudy in the north-west with rain. On Thursday, fresher conditions with showers in the north, rain for central parts. Met office forecasters say there is “huge uncertainty” on their charts with large parts of the UK facing the possibility of unsettled wet weather or a return to scorching heatwave conditions.
