Denise Richards says she had a very good reason for ending her “toxic” marriage to Charlie Sheen even though she was six months pregnant at the time. The “Wild Things” star discussed her deeper motivations during a recent conversation with Caroline Stanbury, the host of the “Divorced Not Dead” podcast . “The behind-the-scenes stuff was way worse than what was out there,” she said of their tumultuous relationship. “It was really bad.” Richards claimed she made the decision to leave after asking herself one important question. Texas officials have released the consent form the state is giving migrants to sign before busing them north to New York City or Washington, D.C. Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott began busing migrants who crossed the southern border illegally up to the nation’s capital as well as New York City, citing the city’s promise to be a “sanctuary city” for migrants, in April. The waivers, released to media group Nexstar by state officials on Wednesday in both English and Spanish, ask for the migrant’s consent to be transported “by the State of Texas or its designated agency officials” to destinations outside of Texas “such as Washington, D.C. or New York, New York,” according to Border Report. The forms ask migrants for their name, signature, date of birth, the current date, the location of departure, and the location of arrival. The University of California announced a legal decision Friday that said its system will stop considering SAT and ACT scores in decisions for admissions and scholarships. As reported by The New York Times, the decision brings a long dispute to a conclusion. In 2019, a group of students, advocacy groups and the Compton Unified School District brought a lawsuit against the University of California system seeking to end its use of the tests to determine admissions. The Times reported, “The plaintiffs said that the college entrance tests are biased against poor and mainly Black and Hispanic students — and that by basing admissions decisions on those tests, the system illegally discriminates against applicants on the basis of their race, wealth and disability.” According to the Times, the College Board, which makes the SAT, said in January that it would get rid of subject tests and the optional essay portion. Conservatives posted plenty of barbs on Twitter in reaction to the news that CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin was leaving the network. Toobin announced his decision to leave the network Friday after working for the network for 20 years. Toobin was previously at the center of significant controversy in 2020 when he was fired from the New Yorker and took a leave of absence from CNN after exposing himself during a Zoom video conference. Toobin was later welcomed back to the network.
