Weeks (if not months) of creepy behaviour by Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) in Emmerdale ended up with him trying to trap Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) in his house last week – and his mum Charity (Emma Atkins) walked in right in the middle of this and caught him at it. The repercussions of this play out in upcoming episodes as Noah is questioned by the police. He realises that he’s in serious trouble, but when he later threatens Chloe with revenge for calling the police, Charity intervenes and says she did it. It’s heartbreaking for Charity, as she worries that her relationship with Noah will never recover from what he sees as her betrayal of her. At the same time she realises that he’s directing all her anger at her, rather than acknowledging to himself that he did something seriously wrong in the way he behaved towards Chloe. Meanwhile, Noah attempted to flee the village but was caught by Kerry (Laura Norton), who got revenge by pushing him into an empty grave. Tonight, it appeared Charity was ready to cover for Noah as she took his laptop to the scrapyard, ready to destroy it. But when Kim (Claire King) arrived, she tried to change Charity’s mind. Charity was feeling torn in tonight’s episode. On one hand, she wanted Noah to face the consequences but also, she couldn’t bring herself to report him to the police, adamant she’d be protecting her son if she didn’t involve them. With Noah’s laptop in hand, Charity made her way to the scrapyard, clearly contemplating whether or not to destroy the incriminating evidence. Following the recent tense and terrifying events in Emmerdale, one question still remains in the village – is Jamie Tate dead or alive? Although Gabby (Rosie Bentham) was scared out of her skin at the thought that her ex might be prowling around Home Farm waiting for the chance to snatch Thomas – or do something even worse – she starts to think that maybe she was mistaken after all. As the evidence starts to mount that Jamie is, in fact, dead, Gabby realises she might have shot Will (Dean Andrews) for no good reason and Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) might be on a wild goose chase trying to track down a man who can’t be found because he’s dead. Gabby still clings to the hope that Harriet might uncover something, and it seems she could be right. Faith (Sally Dexter) hasn’t been doing very well in her bid to build bridges with son Cain (Jeff Hordley) in Emmerdale recently. After she persuaded him to let her take Kyle (Huey Quinn) to the allotment, Cain eventually agreed and took his son over, only to almost catch his mother in a very compromising situation with Dan Spencer (Liam Fox). After that, Cain was in no mood to listen when she attempted to make things up with him, as Jeff Hordley explains: ‘If they would’ve got there a few seconds earlier, who knows what Kyle may have heard or seen. Certainly from Cain’s point of view, he’s absolutely gobsmacked. Suzy (Martelle Edinborough) puts her foot in it with Moira (Natalie J. Robb) in upcoming Emmerdale episodes – but is she hiding a terrible secret? Moira is excited when Suzy suggests to her that she could hire out her barns as a wedding venue, but when Suzy mentions using the adjacent field as well, Moira’s attitude changes. Suzy’s mystified, but Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) knows what’s upset Moira, and indicates to Suzy a photo of Moira’s late daughter, Holly (Sophie Powles). Holly died of a drug overdose in 2016, after attending a wedding with Jai Sharma ( Chris Bisson ), who she was dating at the time. The day after the wedding, Moira found her daughter dead. Her body was buried in the field that Suzy has suggested using for weddings , hence Moira’s upset reaction. It’s Suzy’s reaction that’s most interesting, though. Ethan (Emile John) finds himself in terrible danger in upcoming episodes of Emmerdale, after he decides to pull out of defending the man who attacked Billy (Jay Kontzle) – and is targeted in a revenge attack. The horrific scenes come after the attacker, Jordan (Jack Parr), has already threatened Billy that he isn’t acting alone but is part of a gang. Following this, Ethan decides he can’t in all conscience represent Jordan any more, knowing that he’s a self-confessed racist. He meets Jordan and his wife Courtney at his office to tell Jordan he won’t be representing him. Jordan unleashes a tirade of racist abuse at him that horrifies Courtney. She says she can’t be around her husband any more and leaves, which only serves to make Jordan even more furious with Ethan. Finally he leaves the office and Ethan feels shaken but relieved. But as he leaves work later, he doesn’t realise Jordan is following him.
