When Alanis Morissette released Jagged Little Pill in 1995, critics and rock fans complained, with more and less chauvinism, that the album and its singer were too angry, too shrill, too lame, too loud, too immature, too fake. Jagged Little Pill, the new Broadway musical, which superimposes the album’s songs on to an overwrought story of suburban ennui, should be liable to a lot of that same criticism. But turn that record over. On Broadway, Jagged Little Pill harnesses the hyperemotionalism of its source to shake off the cynicism and formulaic strictures of the typical jukebox musical. The Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot is one step closer to making its way to Australia after being given an official release date. On Wednesday, it was revealed the hotly anticipated new series would be premiering on Network Ten on Tuesday, September 24 at 8:30pm. It follows months of teaser trailers screened on the network, showing the original cast as they appear in the show's reboot, BH90210. JoAnn Cunningham, 36, pleaded guilty to murder in the April beating death of her five-year-old son AJ Freund on Thursday The mother of slain five-year-old AJ Freund has pleaded guilty to murder for beating him to death in April. JoAnn Cunningham, 36, entered the plea during a Thursday hearing at the McHenry County courthouse in Illinois. She faces 20 to 60 years in prison after making a deal with prosecutors to have additional assault charges dismissed. Cunningham and AJ's father, Andrew Freund were charged with first-degree murder and other crimes back in April. Prosecutors said AJ was beaten to death at the family's home in Crystal Lake on April 15, three days before his parents told police he'd disappeared from his bed in the middle of the night. British Airways joins easyJet in continuing flight ban from Sharm el-Sheikh until January after Russian airliner bombing
EasyJet and British Airways have cancelled all flights to and from Sharm el-Sheikh until the New Year over security fears following the Russian airliner bombing last month. Around 5,000 passengers were booked on easyJet flights to the Red Sea resort but it has announced it will not fly in or out until January 6. The low-cost carrier said it had made the decision to announce the continued suspension of flights to the Egyptian resort to provide certainty for customers planning their Christmas holidays. Meanwhile, BA said its flights to Sharm will be suspended until January 14. It is keeping flights after that under review.
