Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has sent a strong message to the current squad, urging them to ‘adapt’ to Erik ten Hag’s methods. Ten Hag took charge of United this summer but his first match ended in a nightmare as the Red Devils lost 2-1 to Brighton at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Dutchman faces a huge task to lead United into the Premier League top four spots and back into the Champions League after their sixth-place finish last term. Ten Hag has received support from some pundits, with Steve Nicol adamant that no-one can point the finger at him and that the problems are with the United players instead . And now Mexico international Hernandez, nicknamed Chicharito, who scored 59 goals in 157 games for United from 2010 until 2015, has told the current squad to ‘get over’ the trophy-laden Sir Alex Ferguson era and adapt to Ten Hag’s tactics. The two-time Premier League champion, who now plays for LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer, told PA: … [Read more...] about Javier Hernandez sends strong message to Manchester United squad over Erik ten Hag

Barry Hearn has laid down a challenge to female darts players as the PDC looks to grow the game on the back of the first-ever Women’s World Matchplay. In a ground-breaking first, eight of the best female players in the world played for the Matchplay trophy on the same day as the main final between Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Amad Diallo sends message to Erik ten Hag by scoring twice for Manchester United in behind-closed-doors friendly
He didn’t even make Manchester United ’s 20-man squad for the opening weekend defeat to Brighton but Amad Diallo is keeping his head up at Old Trafford. The 20-year-old joined the Red Devils in 2020 from Atlanta, in a move that could eventually be worth up to £36million. However, the Ivorian has been starved of chances at Old Trafford and has made just nine appearances during his two years at the club. Diallo impressed during a loan spell with Rangers last season but he returned to the club this summer in a bid to impress Ten Hag. However, after scoring against Rayo Vallecano in the last friendly before the season kicked off, Diallo was at least hoping to form part of the squad against Brighton. But the winger was left disappointed as he wasn’t even named on the bench for the visit of the Seagulls, despite injury to Anthony Martial. After missing out on the game, Diallo was one of a number of first-team players that played in a 5-1 win against Halifax in a … [Read more...] about Amad Diallo sends message to Erik ten Hag by scoring twice for Manchester United in behind-closed-doors friendly

Mother of Sandy Hook victim on Alex Jones: “I could only feel compassion for him”
Scarlett Lewis, whose 6-year-old son Jesse was among those killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting , says she has forgiven online conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for his repeated claims that the fatal mass shooting was "staged" — but still wanted to hold him accountable. "I could only feel compassion for him," Lewis said of her first time addressing Jones in-person at a court hearing last week. "What I saw was just a man, a human being in pain, lonely with no one there to testify for him. He had not a person there." For years, Jones claimed the shooting, which remains one of the deadliest in U.S. history, as a "false flag" created with the intent of increasing gun control in the country. On public platforms, Jones accused family members of the massacre's shooting victims, like Lewis, of being "crisis actors." But in testimony earlier this month, Jones admitted that it was irresponsible of him to declare the massacre a hoax and said he now thinks it was … [Read more...] about Mother of Sandy Hook victim on Alex Jones: “I could only feel compassion for him”
