Princess Eugenie has given birth to her first child, a baby boy born this morning. The Queen's granddaughter, 30, had husband Jack Brooksbank at her side at The Portland Hospital in central London where their son - the Queen's ninth great grandchild - was delivered at 8.55am. The new arrival, who is 11th in line to the throne, weighs 8lbs 1oz and the couple broke with tradition by immediately sharing a black and white photo to Eugenie's Instagram of their baby boy, showing them holding his tiny hand. Proud new mother Eugenie followed the post with three blue hearts after welcoming her son at the luxury private hospital where Meghan Markle also gave birth to her son, Archie. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news, Buckingham Palace has announced, adding that 'Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well'. Queen’s birthday snub to Prince Andrew after Jeffrey Epstein scandal
The Queen uses the royal social media accounts to publicly wish her loved ones happy birthday on their special day. The family's official Twitter and Instagram accounts share lovely photos of the birthday girl or boy alongside a sweet message, usually with a few emojis. But the Queen decided to change her message to her third oldest child, Prince Andrew, when he turned 61 last week. She only shared the message on Twitter, not on Instagram, and she scrapped the use of his official title, the Duke of York. It also wasn't actually a happy birthday message, but instead a On This Day style message. It read: " #OnThisDay in 1960 The Queen was safely delivered of a son, the first child born to a reigning Monarch since 1857. "Her Majesty is pictured holding Prince Andrew in 1961 on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, alongside The Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and The Queen Mother." As well as the Buckingham Palace photo, there was a photo of Andrew's official birth … [Read more...] about Queen’s birthday snub to Prince Andrew after Jeffrey Epstein scandal

Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd lives a life filled with lavish parties, overseas trips and A-list friends but the dating app queen bee has now been dragged into a saga involving her Russian billionaire business partner and claims of sex, drugs and misogyny. Wolfe Herd has made a name for herself thanks to Bumble - the female empowering dating app she helped launch five years ago and maintains a 20 percent stake in. TALK OF THE TOWN: Royal pals tear into Meghan Markle over her and Harry’s treatment of the Queen
There was a time when pals of Royalty would never wish to fall out with their famous friends for fear of being excluded from the inner sanctum. But after Prince Harry exiled himself, socialite friends don't feel the need to hide their private views any more. Take Lady Alice Manners and Sabine Getty– two Royal pals who weighed in on the treatment of the Queen by Harry and Meghan by telling Meghan: 'Girl. Take a seat.' Lady Alice Manners and Sabine Getty (left) – two Royal pals who weighed in on the treatment of the Queen by Harry and Meghan by telling Meghan (right): 'Girl. Take a seat' That's American slang for stand down, shut up and – in this instance – leave our Queenie alone! It was Sabine, who attended Princess Eugenie's wedding, who got the ball rolling. She shared Meghan and Harry's churlish statement – 'We can all live a life of service. Service is universal' – issued after Buckingham Palace announced the couple had been stripped of their … [Read more...] about TALK OF THE TOWN: Royal pals tear into Meghan Markle over her and Harry’s treatment of the Queen
SARAH VINE: How laughable for Harry and Meghan to lecture the Queen on duty. She wrote the book
Around this time last year, as the pandemic was tightening its grip on humanity, Harry and Meghan took to Instagram, as is their wont, to bestow their wisdom upon the world. ‘How we approach each other and our communities with empathy and kindness is indisputably important right now,’ they wrote. ‘Over the coming weeks, this will be our guiding principle.’ Noble sentiments indeed. Except, as the actions of these two have demonstrated over the course of the past year and, in particular, the last few days, it’s one thing to preach, quite another to practice. These are two people who never seem to tire of reminding us how warm and caring they are – but whose actions sadly tell a very different story. Their response last week to the Queen’s statement about their future as members of the Royal Family is a classic example. Empathy and kindness? Not exactly. These are two people who never seem to tire of reminding us how warm and caring they are – but whose actions sadly … [Read more...] about SARAH VINE: How laughable for Harry and Meghan to lecture the Queen on duty.
