AFTER a warning from Elton John that his time at the top won’t last, Ed Sheeran might have heard enough from rock veterans. But it didn’t stop him hooking up with Sir Mick Jagger for some further rock ’n’ roll wisdom. I’m told the Rolling Stones frontman took a very different view on Ed’s prospects, backing him to go the distance for many decades. Well, Mick should know. The pair caught up as their respective tours rolled up in Dublin. THE Baftas and the Golden Globes red carpets were all about one colour this year – black. However, white roses have also been prominently displayed during the awards season – and the symbolic flowers were catching the eye at the 2018 Brit Awards. There was no organised protest at the BAFTA TV Awards this year, however, several stars sported Times Up badges to show their solidarity for the cause. Claire Foy followed the Oscars trend of wearing white to the ceremony, complete with a Times Up badge. After years of publicly battling a cigarette addiction, Ed Sheeran took to Instagram to congratulate himself on having kicked the habit. DANIEL Craig won’t have to worry about baby sick staining his James Bond tuxedo just yet. I can reveal that filming for Bond 25, the latest instalment of the 007 franchise, was due to start this autumn but has been put back to later next year as the lead man’s wife Rachel Weisz gives birth to their first child together. Director Danny Boyle will now have more time to complete his other new project, a Beatles-inspired film with writer Richard Curtis. A film source said: “Pushing back the schedules suits all parties. “Daniel can concentrate on matters at home with Rachel, which are pretty life-changing, to say the least. “And Danny can now afford to add the finishing touches to his latest project without the prospect of a clash with a monster project like James Bond.” Oscar-winner Rachel revealed she was pregnant earlier this month and admitted this week she has been “feeling very dodgy for about four months”.
