THE JOYCE family were supposed to be on a plane to Portugal for their first holiday abroad together. Instead, Aimee, 32, left Luton airport with her husband Elliot, 35, and their three children in tears because EasyJet had cancelled their flight after they'd checked in. The children, aged between 11 and 14, from a school in Madrid, had to camp out on mattresses on the terminal floor after all hotels in the area were full. The group were visiting England on an end of year trip but were left stranded when an alleged technical fault with one of budget airline’s planes saw their flight home cancelled. Footage of the travelling party shows the bored youngsters curled up under blankets, while others pass the time by kicking a little ball about. Spain’s consumer watchdog, FACUA Consumers in Action, slammed Lenfex, the travel agency that managed the trip. The body accused the firm of “washing their hands” of the situation, reports Bristol Live. One mum told a local Spanish newspaper: "They have not been looked after." Parents were also told the flight was cancelled because pilots had … [Read more...] about More than 50 schoolkids forced to sleep on floor at Bristol Airport after easyJet flight was delayed for more than 24 hours
