‘Grow a real beard!’: Designer says he wears Prince Philip’s insult about his goatee as a badge of honour

· April 10, 2021 ·

His sharp-tongued wit may have raised eyebrows, but those on the receiving end of some of Prince Philip ’s off-the-cuff remarks have paid warm tribute to him. Designer Stephen Judge, who was teased by the Duke over his goatee beard, said the encounter had become a badge of honour. ‘To this day, I can remember word-for-word exactly what he said,’ he told The Mail on Sunday. ‘He shook my hand and asked me, “What do you do?” I told him I was a designer and he said, “Well, you are obviously not a hirsute designer.” Designer Stephen Judge (pictured), was teased by Prince Philip over his goatee beard at a Buckingham Palace in 2009. He said the encounter has become a badge of honour 'I stood there thinking, I don’t know where he’s going with this. As I paused, he smiled and said, “Your beard man, your poor frustrated beard. "He’s actually home,” she says, clearly delighted. “He was due to go to staff college in September but we’ve ended up spending most of the past year together. … [Read more...] about Kym Marsh says lockdown has been a blessing with Army boyfriend Scott sent back home

Woman loves to pamper her dog with fake nails – but some say it’s ‘animal abuse’

· April 10, 2021 ·

A pampered pooch has become an online sensation after her owner made a set of fake nails for the little dog to wear. Maritza Rubalcava, a nail technician, went viral on TikTok after sharing videos of her carefully crafting sets of tiny false nails for her chihuahua Coco. The 25-year-old, who posts under @bellamourbeauty, spends up for 40 minutes making the nails before applying them gently to Coco's paws. She claims she only puts them on for show and doesn't actually let the pup walk around in them. Her clips have garnered over three million views and while some think the nails are brilliant and wish they could have some for their own pets, others were appalled and branded it "animal abuse". Maritza, from California, US, said: "Coco is my baby and one night my husband and I were talking and we thought it would be so cute to make her some tiny fake nails. "I just did it for fun and it felt so random but it turned out well. "She loves being pampered so she … [Read more...] about Woman loves to pamper her dog with fake nails – but some say it’s ‘animal abuse’
