IF YOU’VE witnessed magician Dynamo in action on his tours, chances are you’ll have been dazzled by his magical prowess. But who is Dynamo and how did he get involved with tricks? Who is Dynamo aka Steven Frayne? Dynamo – also known as Steven Frayne – was born on December 17, 1982, in Bradford, West Yorkshire. He shot to fame thanks to his TV show Dynamo: Magician Impossible, which ran from July 2011 to September 2014. One of the first tricks he ever learned was taught to him by his grandad, who showed him how to make it seem like he weighed a large amount, so other kids wouldn’t pick him up. He has gone on to perform stunts on Richard & Judy, Channel 4, in adverts for Pepsi, Nokia and Adidas, and for big charitable shows such as BBC One’s Comic Relief. In 2017, Dynamo was devastated when his pet dog Bunty was left fighting for life after plunging from a third-floor window. After months of operations and treatment, Bunty was nursed back to … [Read more...] about Who is Dynamo aka Steven Frayne, what’s wrong with the magician, what is Crohn’s disease and what’s his net worth?

I'm by no means a die hard Dynamo fan girl, but that sceptic in me is yet to kick in because I 100 percent believe his magic is real - especially after experiencing it firsthand. Steven Frayne aka Dynamo was in Christchurch on Friday ahead of his upcoming shows in New Zealand in July. While he was here Newshub caught up with him. I wrote my name on a card, folded it up, bit down on it and held it in my mouth. He did the same to a card of his own - took my hands leant in and somehow magically we ended up with each other's cards. His magic was so good it left me shaking. I remember watching his show - Dynamo : Magician Impossible and thinking what he does is absolutely incredible - you could tell simply through people's reactions. Now I understand why people's jaws would drop when they see him literally work his magic. It's not just the power of television, I can tell you now, because I am now one of those people whose jaw's dropped on Friday. Check … [Read more...] about The time Dynamo convinced me magic is real

Dynamo has revealed the shocking impact of his battle with Crohn's disease as he shared his swollen face with fans. The 34-year-old magician looked unrecognisable as he showed off the effects of his treatment. Steven Frayne was forced to have half his stomach removed at just 17 due to the debilitating condition. Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Bradford-born star bravely bared all in the 'no filter' shot as he posed looking straight down the camera lens - and received huge support from his fanbase. The incurable condition causes inflammation to the stomach lining, and a host of other painful side effects. Revealing he wakes up in 'excruciating pain' nearly every day, Dynamo said he manages the condition by banning gluten, dairy, fat and vegetables from his diet. But with no long term cure in sight, the illusionist previously admitted it was one problem he didn't have a magic fix for. “Having Crohn’s is a trial but I am determined not to let it hold me back," he … [Read more...] about Dynamo looks unrecognisable as he shows shock effects of Crohn’s disease battle
Dynamo has inspired other Crohn's sufferers to share their "moonface" selfies. The magician, real name Steven Frayne, took to Instagram on Monday to share an unfiltered picture of his swollen face after taking steroids to treat his Crohn's disease . He was initially trolled for his weight gain but now hundreds of fellow sufferers have taken to social media to share their own pictures and stories. And it seems the "moonface" stage of Crohn's is common as sufferers are put on heavy medication to control their flare ups. The illusionist was struck down with food poisoning from eating popcorn last year and is now on a lot of medication that are still affecting his body and appearance - something other sufferers sympathised with. Dynamo explained: ""You can see my appearance has changed because of all the medication I'm on - I'm on quite a lot of tablets as you can see, and all the medication has caused my to put on a lot of extra body weight, as well as a rash that's all over my head." He … [Read more...] about Dynamo’s ‘moonface’ selfie prompts other sufferers to share their own pictures
