But it has meant that he's lived in some pretty interesting places. "I've woken up and counted myself lucky that I've got an amazing place to live in which is a little out of the ordinary," he says. That's an understatement. His homes have included a former children's nursery, a Victorian hunting lodge and a disused police station. Today, home is an old EMI building in west London. Amanda Holden has been criticised on social media after posting photos of herself boarding a private jet - with some of her followers questioning over her carbon footprint. The radio host, 51, took to Instagram yesterday to share that she was "finally" on her way to meet Alan Carr , 46, in Sicily - where they have been filming a new BBC show together. The pair are set to front upcoming series The Italian Job, in which they will be seen buying a dilapidated house and taking on the challenge of renovating the property. It's unclear whether Amanda and Alan have returned to the island off the coast of Italy this week for the project - or whether they are enjoying a holiday together in the region. Prisons usually have people break out of them, but two lads doing a bit of lunchtime exploration wanted to see inside the long-closed spooky Wellington Prison at Mt Crawford. Shaun Backman-Playford​ and Atarea Joseph​ were on a break from a nearby job site and hardly made any attempt not to be seen. It was broad daylight, not long before 2pm on October 22 last year, and they were wearing their hi-vis vests. With wire snips they cut through the outer fence, turned a security camera around and then used bolt cutters to get through the locks into the prison, which closed in 2012 . For five years, residents of a Nelson street have been calling fowl play on a gaggle of street ducks in their neighbourhood. Kawai St residents were going a bit quackers. Their children were put off playing outside because of the messy collective faeces and feather dumps of 10 large Muscovy ducks. The ducks were also taking their own lives into their hands when they waddled off to the main thoroughfare of Waimea Rd, and there’d also been dog attacks. Resident Marie Hill faced duck poo the moment she stepped outside – the ducks went as far as her front door, they pooped in her front and backyards and driveway and she would spend up to an hour a day hosing her yard and the yard of her elderly neighbours. The mess was “horrible”, “disgusting” and “smelly”. The battle of Trevalga is raging as residents of a stunning Cornish village fear eviction after the entire 1,200-acre estate was put up for sale. A fierce historical fight is going on for a second time at the tiny hamlet nestled between the towns of Boscatle and Tintagel in the south west. At least twelve households fear eviction, but have vowed to put up a fight, CornwallLive reports. Trevalga was placed in a will trust more than 60 years ago when Gerald Curgenven, owner of the estate until his death in 1959, left it in trust to Marlborough College. The trust was created so the estate could be preserved and improved 'and as far as possible not sold or broken up'. The company said the listing would occur via a purchase by the publicly traded BowX Acquisition Corp. The deal values WeWork at $9bn (£6.5bn) - roughly a fifth of the its estimated worth in 2019, before its earlier flotation effort imploded. Investors raised questions about its finances and management by founder Adam Neumann, who quit amid the debacle. After shelving its listing plans, WeWork trimmed back its business, closing roughly 100 locations and pulling out of some of the more tangential ventures - such as a wave pool maker - to which Mr Neumann had committed the company. It now employs one third of the staff it did in September 2019. Gareth Thomas was investigated by police for allegedly infecting his former partner with HIV without disclosing he was positive with the virus. The Welsh rugby star, who is a leading advocate for the HIV community , behaved “deceptively” and “failed to take reasonable care” to ensure he did not pass on the disease, according to papers lodged in the High Court. Mr Thomas is being sued by Ian Baum, 59, who claims he only discovered the former Wales and Lions captain was HIV-positive when he found his antiviral medication. Mr Baum, a private carer who started an on-off relationship with Mr Thomas in 2013, alleges he then took an HIV test, which came back positive, and confronted his partner, who was “very repentant and apologetic”. He is suing the former player for a six-figure sum for serious physical and mental injury, including loss of life expectancy of six to eight years.
