· February 25, 2021 ·

UK drivers could face major changes to taxes, duties and charges within a month. Increased charges could hit millions of Britain's motorists in 2021. The US House of Representatives approved a $1.9 trillion (€1.57 trillion) coronavirus stimulus fund in the early hours of Saturday morning. · February 21, 2021 ·

BRITS could be BANNED from parking on pavements over fears pedestrians are being forced onto the road. Ministers are considering whether to extend London’s ban to the whole country, with rule-breakers facing £70 fines. The Department for Transport launched a consultation on three possible options in relation to the nationwide ban, which concluded at the end of November last year. A spokesperson for the DfT confirmed to The Sun Online that a date had not yet been set for the results to be published, but they are expected to be announced very soon. The DfT says that three options will be put forward to counteract the dangers of pavement parking, which include extending the London ban across the country. The restriction would allow local authorities to give out fines of £70 on those who flouted the rules. And the second option proposed would be to streamline existing powers for councils to make it easier for them to impose legal notices to regulate vehicles on certain … [Read more...] about Brits could be BANNED from parking on pavement and face fines over fears pedestrians are being forced onto the road

· February 27, 2021 ·

Captain Sir Tom Moore's daughters have said his spirit will always live on in a powerful tribute read out at his funeral today. Lucy Teixeira said her dad, who captured the nation's hearts when he raised millions for NHS charities during the first lockdown, said he always influenced her with his strength and courage. She said: "Daddy, I am so proud of you, what you achieved your whole life and especially in the last year, you may be gone, but your message and your spirit lives on." She laughed as she recalled how her father talked to her about concrete pipes to help calm her wedding-day jitters. She also recalled the awful day Sir Tom lost his wife - the same day he had taken his grandson to see the type of tank he had served in during the war at a military museum. "We often talked about milestones in your life and laughed about the possibility of you reaching your 100th birthday. "You said 'it's just a number, I don't feel any different' and right to the end you ignored … [Read more...] about Captain Tom’s daughters pay powerful tribute and say his ‘spirit will live on’
